Introduction

The CHOYONG Voyager is a versatile portable internet Bluetooth audio speaker designed to provide a rich audio experience with global radio access, podcast streaming, and Bluetooth connectivity. It features a high-definition touchscreen, AI voice control, and supports both Wi-Fi and 4G networks, making it an ideal companion for home, travel, and outdoor activities.

Setup Guide

1. Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Verify that all items are present and undamaged. The package should include the CHOYONG Voyager speaker and a charging cable.

2. Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the speaker's Type-C port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The speaker is equipped with a 1200mAh rechargeable lithium battery.

3. Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button (usually located on the top or side) for a few seconds to turn the speaker on or off. The touchscreen will illuminate upon power-on.

4. Network Connection (Wi-Fi/4G)

To access internet radio and podcasts, the speaker requires a network connection. The Voyager supports both 2.4G Wi-Fi and 4G via a built-in E-SIM card.

  1. Wi-Fi Connection: Navigate to the 'Settings' menu on the touchscreen, select 'Wi-Fi', and choose your desired network. Enter the password if prompted.
  2. 4G Connection: The built-in E-SIM card provides 4G connectivity. Ensure you have an active data plan for this feature.

5. Bluetooth Pairing

To use the speaker as a Bluetooth audio device:

  1. Turn on the speaker and ensure Bluetooth is enabled in the settings.
  2. On your mobile phone, computer, or tablet, search for Bluetooth devices.
  3. Select "CHOYONG Voyager" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will automatically connect to your device when in range (up to 32ft).

Operating Instructions

1. Touch Screen Navigation

The CHOYONG Voyager features a high-definition touchscreen for intuitive control. Swipe, tap, and use gestures to navigate menus, select stations, browse podcasts, and adjust settings.

2. Internet Radio and Podcast Playback

With over 40,000 pre-stored internet radio stations and 10 million podcast episodes, you can explore a vast library of audio content.

  • Browsing: Use the touchscreen to navigate through categories (e.g., Asia, Europe), search for specific stations, or browse podcasts.
  • Voice Search: Utilize the integrated GPT AI voice control to search for content using natural language commands. Simply activate the voice control feature and speak your request.
  • Favorites: Save your preferred stations and podcasts to a 'Favorites' list for quick access.
  • Adding Stations: The device supports adding new internet radio stations. Refer to the 'Settings' menu for options to manually add station URLs.

3. Audio Playback

The speaker adopts full-range multimedia speakers, delivering clear and loud sound. Adjust the volume using the physical buttons or the touchscreen interface.

4. AUX Input

Connect external audio devices using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX input jack on the speaker. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode or require manual selection from the input source menu.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean the speaker, use a soft, dry cloth. For the touchscreen, a microfiber cloth is recommended. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or spray directly onto the device. Ensure the device is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

2. Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is advisable to charge the battery to about 50% before long-term storage to maintain battery health.

Troubleshooting

No Power
Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source and try turning it on again.
No Sound
Check the volume level on both the speaker and the connected device (if using Bluetooth/AUX). Ensure the correct input source is selected. If using internet radio, verify network connectivity.
Cannot Connect Bluetooth
Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode and within the 32ft range of your device. Turn off and on Bluetooth on both devices. Clear previous Bluetooth connections on your device if necessary.
Cannot Connect Wi-Fi
Verify that your Wi-Fi network is active and you have entered the correct password. Ensure the speaker is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Restart the speaker and your router if issues persist.
Voice Control Not Responding
Ensure the speaker has an active internet connection. Speak clearly and directly into the speaker's microphone. Check for any software updates that might improve voice recognition.
