5. Operation

5.1 Automatic Recording

Once powered on, the dash cam will automatically begin recording. The video mode features loop recording, which means older files will be overwritten by new recordings when the memory card is full. This ensures continuous recording without manual intervention.

5.2 G-Sensor (Emergency Recording)

The built-in triaxial 3D acceleration sensor (G-Sensor) detects sudden impacts or collisions. When triggered, it automatically locks the current video footage, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This feature is enabled by default.

5.3 24-Hour Parking Monitor

The LF10 Dash Cam offers a 24-hour parking monitoring function. When the vehicle is parked, the dash cam can continue to record, detecting impacts or motion. For extended parking monitoring, a hardwire kit (purchased separately) is recommended. This kit includes a low voltage protection function that automatically cuts off power to the dash cam if the car battery voltage drops below 11.6V, ensuring your car can still start normally.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Device

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dash cam body.
  • For the lens, use a specialized lens cleaning cloth and solution to avoid scratches.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

6.2 Memory Card Care

  • Regularly format the memory card (e.g., once a month) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. This can usually be done through the dash cam's settings menu or the mobile app.
  • Ensure the dash cam is powered off before inserting or removing the memory card to prevent damage to the card or device.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 WiFi Connection Issues (Black Screen, Flash Back, or Cannot Access APP)

Solution:

  1. For Android Phones: When connecting to the dash cam's WiFi, your phone might display a message like "This WLAN network has no Internet access. Connect anyway." You must select "Connect anyway." If you missed this, go to your phone's WiFi settings, choose "Forget this network" for the dash cam's WiFi, then reconnect. Restart your phone if necessary and ensure you select "Connect anyway" when prompted.
  2. APP Permissions: If the issue persists, the app's permissions might be restricted. Uninstall the app, then re-download it. During installation or first use, grant all necessary permissions.
  3. General Tip: Always ensure you are connected to the dash cam's WiFi in your phone's settings before opening the dash cam application.

7.2 Memory Card Issues (Not Reading, Intermittent Recording)

Solution:

  1. Card Type: Ensure you are using a genuine, high-speed MicroSD card (Class 10 or above). Ultra HD recorders require high speed and stability.
  2. Replacement: If you suspect the memory card is faulty, replace it with a new, reputable brand high-speed card (e.g., SanDisk, Toshiba, Kingston) purchased from a reliable source.
  3. Formatting: Format the memory card regularly within the dash cam's settings.

7.3 Dash Cam Flash Screen or Abnormal Switch On/Off

Solution:

  1. Power Connection: Check that the power connector is securely plugged into both the dash cam and the car's power outlet.
  2. Power Supply: Verify that the power supply is stable and sufficient. The dash cam requires 5V 1.5A power. Unstable voltage or insufficient current can cause these issues. Ensure your car charger is functioning correctly.

8. User Tips

  • High-Quality Memory Card: Always use a high-speed (Class 10 or higher) MicroSD card from a reputable brand. This is crucial for stable recording, especially with high-resolution video.
  • Stable Power Supply: Ensure your dash cam receives a consistent 5V 1.5A power supply. Issues like flickering screens or unexpected shutdowns are often related to power fluctuations.
  • Regular Formatting: Format your memory card regularly to prevent file corruption and ensure smooth operation.
  • App Connection Sequence: For seamless app usage, connect to the dash cam's WiFi network in your phone's settings first, then open the dash cam application.
