5. Installation and Wiring

Ensure all power is disconnected before proceeding with installation. The controllers operate on 5-24VDC. Connect the power supply, LED strip, and optional push switches as per the diagrams below.

5.1. SC Controller Wiring Diagram

SC Controller wiring with SPI pixel strip (LPD6803)
Wiring diagram for SC controller with SPI pixel strip (LPD6803).

Note: The SC controller connects to the LED pixel strip via SPI signal (DATA, CLK) and power (+, -). Ensure correct polarity and signal connections.

5.2. SC-L Controller Wiring Diagram

SC-L Controller wiring with push switches and SPI pixel strip
Wiring diagram for SC-L controller with push switches and SPI pixel strip.

Notes for SC-L Wiring:

  • The SPI LED strip is single-wire control; the DATA and CLK output is the same.
  • The SC-L SPI LED pixel strip is two-wire control; it can connect up to 2 LED strips.
  • When the load of the light strip exceeds 8A, the light strip needs to be powered by another power supply.
  • The light strip and the power supply must share the same ground, and any DATA/CLK and GND lines are connected between the controller and the light strip.
  • The output power of the constant voltage power supply is at least 1.2 times that of the output load light strip, otherwise the full power output of the load will easily cause the lights to flicker or shake automatically.

5.3. SC-P Controller Wiring Diagram

SC-P Controller wiring with push switches and SPI pixel strip
Wiring diagram for SC-P controller with push switches and SPI pixel strip.

Notes for SC-P Wiring:

  • If the SPI LED strip is a single-wire control method, the DATA and CLK signal line outputs of the controller are the same, and one controller can connect 4 LED strips.
  • When the load exceeds 8A, the light strip needs to be powered by other power supplies.
  • Only DATA/CLK and GND cables are connected between the controller and the light strip.
