2. Safety Information

  • Always wear a helmet and appropriate safety gear when riding.
  • Ensure all components are securely fastened before each ride.
  • Familiarize yourself with local traffic laws and regulations regarding electric bicycles.
  • Do not operate the e-bike under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Avoid riding in adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain or snow.
  • Regularly check brakes, tires, and battery for proper function.

4. Assembly and Setup

Follow these steps to assemble your IScooter EB3 Electric Bike:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Install Front Wheel: Attach the front wheel to the fork using the quick release skewer. Ensure it is centered and securely tightened.
  3. Install Handlebars: Insert the handlebar stem into the fork tube and tighten the bolts. Adjust the handlebar angle for comfortable riding.
  4. Attach Fenders: Secure the front and rear fenders to their respective mounting points.
  5. Install Saddle: Insert the seat post into the frame's seat tube and adjust the height. Tighten the quick release lever or bolt.
  6. Attach Pedals: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. The left pedal screws counter-clockwise, and the right pedal screws clockwise. Tighten them firmly.
  7. Install Battery: Insert the 36V 10.4AH lithium battery into its designated slot on the frame. Use the provided keys to lock it in place.
  8. Initial Charge: Before your first ride, fully charge the battery using the provided charger.

5. Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the controls and functions of your EB3 electric bike.

5.1 Powering On/Off

Press and hold the power button on the LCD display to turn the bike's electrical system on or off.

5.2 LCD Intelligent Riding Display

The smart LCD dashboard provides real-time riding information:

  • AVG MAX SPEED: Average and Maximum Speed.
  • DST: Distance traveled.
  • ODO: Odometer (total distance).
  • VOL: Battery Voltage.
  • TRIP: Trip distance.
  • TIME: Riding time.
  • BMS: Battery Management System indicator.
  • ASSIST: Pedal assist level (adjust with '+' and '-' buttons).
  • KM/MILE: Unit selection.

5.3 Gear Shifting

Use the gear shifter on the handlebar to change between the 5 available speed gears. Shift smoothly to avoid damage to the drivetrain.

5.4 Electric Assist Levels

The EB3 features multiple pedal assist levels. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to increase or decrease the motor assistance. Higher levels provide more power, while lower levels conserve battery life.

5.5 Braking System

The bike is equipped with Electronic Dual Disc Brakes for effective stopping power. Apply both brake levers evenly for controlled braking.

5.6 Lights and Horn

The EB3 comes with bright front and rear LED lights for enhanced visibility. Use the headlight switch on the handlebar to turn them on/off. The horn switch activates the integrated horn.

5.7 Charging the Battery

Connect the charger to the battery charging port and then to a power outlet. The indicator light on the charger will show the charging status. Disconnect once fully charged.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your e-bike.

6.1 Battery Care

  • Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health.
  • Store the battery in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
  • If storing for extended periods, charge the battery to 50-70% and check it monthly.

6.2 Tire Maintenance

The 26-inch wear-resistant inflatable tires with thickened inner tubes require proper inflation.

  • Check tire pressure before each ride and inflate to the recommended PSI (usually found on the tire sidewall).
  • Inspect tires for wear, cuts, or punctures.

6.3 Brake Inspection

  • Regularly check the brake levers for proper tension and responsiveness.
  • Inspect disc brake pads for wear and replace them if necessary.
  • Ensure brake cables are not frayed or damaged.

6.4 General Cleaning

  • Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on electrical components.
  • Lubricate the chain periodically to ensure smooth operation.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:
