4.2 Loop Recording

The dash cam records video in continuous loops. When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked files will be automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings. This ensures you never miss a moment.

4.3 G-Sensor & Emergency Recording

The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. In the event of an accident, it automatically saves and locks the current video segment to a dedicated folder, preventing it from being overwritten by loop recording. This protects crucial evidence.

4.4 Night Vision

Equipped with a high-sensitivity Sony IMX415 sensor and F1.6 aperture, the dash cam provides clear night vision. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology further enhances image clarity in varying light conditions, from dark environments to bright light.

  • Take photos and record videos.
  • Replay recorded videos.
  • Download footage to your device.
  • Adjust settings and change OSD languages.

4.6 24 Hours Parking Monitoring (with Hardwire Kit)

With the optional Hardwire Kit installed, the dash cam can monitor your vehicle even when parked. It supports two modes:

  • Collision Detection Parking Mode: Uses the G-Sensor to detect impacts and automatically record.
  • Time-Lapse Parking Mode: Continuously records at a low frame rate (e.g., 1fps) to save storage space while providing full coverage.
Detailed features: 24 Hours Parking Monitoring (Collision Detection, Time-Lapse), G-Sensor (on road, parking), Loop Recording (recording times for different card sizes).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Memory Card Care

  • Use only high-quality Class 10 Micro SD cards (16GB-256GB). Low-quality cards can cause recording issues.
  • Format the memory card regularly (e.g., once a month) through the dash cam's settings to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
  • Avoid removing the memory card while the device is powered on or recording.

5.2 Cleaning the Device

  • Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality.
  • Clean the exterior of the dash cam with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam does not power on: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car's power source. Check the car's cigarette lighter or fuse for power.
  • Recording stops or video quality is poor: This is often due to a low-quality or slow memory card. Ensure you are using a Class 10 Micro SD card. Format the card regularly. If issues persist, try a different high-quality memory card.
  • 24V power supply issue: The DVR is designed for 12V car power supplies. Using it with a 24V supply will damage the device. If your vehicle uses 24V, you must use a 24V to 12V converter.
  • Rear camera not working: Ensure the rear camera cable is correctly plugged into the main DVR unit. If using a non-original rear camera, compatibility issues may arise as only original E-ACE rear cameras are guaranteed to work seamlessly.
  • Wi-Fi connection issues: Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is enabled. Try restarting both the dash cam and your mobile device. Make sure you are within range of the dash cam's Wi-Fi signal.
  • G-Sensor not locking files: Check the G-Sensor sensitivity settings in the dash cam menu. If it's set too low, it might not detect minor impacts.

8. User Tips

  • Regular Formatting: To ensure smooth recording and prevent errors, format your Micro SD card at least once a month directly through the dash cam's settings.
  • Optimal Placement: Position the dash cam high on your windshield, behind the rearview mirror, to maximize its field of view and minimize obstruction to your driving.
  • Check Alignment: Periodically check the camera's alignment to ensure it's capturing the desired view of the road. The mobile app can help with precise alignment.
  • App Usage: Utilize the mobile app for easy access to recorded footage, live view, and settings adjustments. This avoids needing to remove the memory card or interact with the small screen while driving.
  • Cable Management: Route power and rear camera cables neatly along the car's trim to avoid interference with driving and maintain a clean interior.
