1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation and operation of the ANYFAR Wireless Carplay Android Auto Module. This retrofit kit adds Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto functionality to compatible Volkswagen vehicles equipped with MIB or MIB2 infotainment platforms, while retaining the original display and vehicle controls.
2. Compatibility
The module is designed for Volkswagen vehicles with an 8 or 9-inch display and an MIB2 unit located in the glovebox. Please verify your vehicle's specifications before installation.

3. Setup
3.1 Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure your vehicle is compatible with the module (refer to Section 2).
- Gather necessary tools for accessing the infotainment unit (e.g., trim removal tools, screwdrivers).
- Disconnect the vehicle's battery before beginning installation to prevent electrical damage.
3.2 DIP Switch Configuration

3.3 Wiring Diagram and Connections
The installation is designed to be plug-and-play and non-destructive. Follow the wiring diagram carefully to connect the module to your vehicle's infotainment system.

Key Connections:
- ACC Input: Connect to the vehicle's accessory power.
- Power Adapter Cable: Connects the module to the main power harness.
- LVDS Output Line V1 & LVDS Input Line V1: These connect the module in-line with the OEM LVDS display cable.
- Video A-Line: For video input, typically for aftermarket cameras.
- AUX: Audio input connection.
- USB: For wired CarPlay/Android Auto connection or media playback.
- Infrared Receiver: For remote control functionality (if applicable).
- Camera Inputs: Dedicated inputs for Left Turn Signal Positive, Right Turn Signal Positive, and Rear Turn Signal Positive for camera integration.
After all connections are made, secure the module in a suitable location within the dashboard or glovebox, ensuring no wires are pinched. Reconnect the vehicle's battery.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Switching Between Systems
The module allows for a one-key switch between the original car system and the CarPlay/Android Auto interface, retaining all original car functions. This can typically be done using existing factory controls.

4.2 Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto
The module supports both wired and wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connections. It utilizes built-in 2.4G and 5.8G WIFI for stable wireless connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0 for audio and calls.

4.3 Control Methods
You can control the CarPlay and Android Auto interface using:
- Original Vehicle Key Operation: Utilize existing buttons and knobs on your car's dashboard.
- Original Car Steering Wheel Operation: Control functions directly from your steering wheel buttons.
- Touch Control: If your vehicle has a touch-sensitive display, you can interact directly with the screen.
- Voice Control: Activate voice assistants like "Hey Siri..." for hands-free operation.

4.4 Navigation and Media

4.5 Camera Function
The module supports both factory original reverse cameras and parking radar, as well as aftermarket reverse cameras and 360-degree camera systems.

5. Maintenance
- Keep the module and connections free from dust and moisture.
- Avoid exposing the module to extreme temperatures.
- Do not attempt to open or modify the module, as this will void the warranty.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected to prevent intermittent issues.
6. Troubleshooting
- No display/power: Check all power connections and ensure the vehicle's battery is properly reconnected. Verify DIP switch settings.
- CarPlay/Android Auto not connecting wirelessly: Ensure your phone's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled. Try forgetting the device in your phone's Bluetooth settings and re-pairing. Check for any obstructions to the module's antenna.
- Audio issues: Verify AUX input connection. Ensure the car's audio source is set correctly.
- Controls not responding: Confirm all wiring is correct, especially for steering wheel controls. Some vehicle models may require specific settings or adaptations.
- Intermittent connection: Check for loose connections or potential interference.
