4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

Connect the provided DC5V/2A power adapter to the meter's power input port and plug it into a suitable power outlet. The device will automatically power on and begin real-time noise monitoring.

4.2 Mounting Options

The VICTOR 834BW offers multiple fixation methods to suit various usage scenarios:

  • Wall Mounted: Use the provided hanging hooks and screws to securely mount the meter on a wall. Ensure the wall can support the device's weight.
  • Standing: Utilize the integrated kickstand on the back of the device for desktop or shelf placement.
  • Hanging: The device can also be hung from a ceiling or other overhead structure using appropriate fixtures.

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

Lightly press the power button () on the top of the device to turn it on or off. The meter will automatically begin real-time noise monitoring once powered on.

5.2 Real-time Monitoring

The large 4-inch digital display shows the current sound level in decibels (dBA). The display refreshes approximately twice per second, providing continuous monitoring.

5.3 Voice Announcement Reminder

Tap the "SEL" button to toggle the voice announcement reminder on or off. When the indicator light is on, voice announcements are active. When the indicator light is off, voice announcements are disabled.

5.4 Alarm Settings (Audible and Visual)

The device features both audible and visual alarms. To set the alarm value:

  1. Long press the "SEL" button to enter the alarm setting mode.
  2. Use the (down) and (up) arrow keys to adjust the desired alarm threshold.
  3. Once the noise level reaches the set alarm value, a voice announcement will be made, and the display will provide a visual alert.

6. App Connectivity (Bluetooth/WiFi)
