Setup

The remote control is designed for use with SOMMER garage door operators featuring SOMloq2 radio systems. Ensure you have access to your receiver/opener before proceeding with programming.

Programming Instructions

  1. Activate Programming Mode on the Garage Door Operator: Open the housing of your garage door operator's radio receiver. Press the programming button (often labeled 'Radio button') on the control unit. The control unit may be located in the motor carriage or its own housing. A red LED will light up, indicating programming mode is active.
  2. Select Radio Channel on the Garage Door Operator: Repeatedly press the 'Radio button' to cycle through and select the desired radio channel on the garage door operator. If no transmission command is received within approximately 30 seconds, the radio receiver will exit programming mode.
  3. Program the Button on the Handheld Transmitter: Press the desired button on your new handheld transmitter. Continue pressing until the LED corresponding to the previously selected radio channel on the operator blinks and then turns off. This indicates successful programming.

To program additional handheld transmitters, repeat the steps above for each remote. Note that mixed operation of Somloq and SOMloq2 radio systems on a single button is not permitted.
