2. Working Principle

The GOBOOST Signal Amplifier system operates by capturing weak outdoor cellular signals, amplifying them, and then rebroadcasting the stronger signal indoors. This process ensures improved call quality and faster data speeds.

  1. Receives Signal: The powerful outdoor antenna accesses a good signal from the nearest base station and delivers it to the signal booster.
  2. Boosts Signal: The booster receives the signal, amplifies it significantly, and acts as a relay between your phone and the cell tower.
  3. Broadcasts Signal: The amplified signal is then broadcasted indoors via the indoor antenna, providing increased cell reception to your devices.

5. Installation Guide

Follow these steps to install your GOBOOST Signal Amplifier system:

5.1. Check Your Current Frequency Band

Before installation, it is crucial to determine the frequency band used by your mobile operator in your location. This ensures you have the correct booster model.

For iPhone Users:

  1. Dial the code *3001#12345#*.
  2. Click on "Serving Cell Info".
  3. Look for "Freq Band Indicator" to find the band number (a single or double digit).
Instructions for iPhone users to check frequency band: Dial *3001#12345#*, click 'Serving Cell Info', find 'Freq Band Indicator'.

5.3. Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Step 1: Locate a Strong Signal Area for the Outdoor Antenna.

Search for a position outdoors where you can receive a good signal (stronger than -80dB or at least 3 signal bars on your phone). This location should ideally be an "Empty Place" with minimal obstructions, facing towards the base station or cell tower. Install the Yagi outdoor antenna parallel to the ground in this location.

  2. Step 2: Connect Outdoor Antenna to Signal Booster.

Use the provided 13M coaxial cable to connect the outdoor antenna to the "Outdoor Port" (F-Female Connector) on the signal booster. Ensure all connections are tightened securely to prevent signal loss.

  3. Step 3: Connect Indoor Antenna to Signal Booster.

Connect the indoor antenna (Columnar type) to the "Indoor Port" (SMA-Female Connector) on the signal booster. The indoor antenna should be placed in the area where you need improved signal, typically mounted on the ceiling or a high wall.

  4. Step 4: Power On and Verify.

After all connections are securely made, connect the power plug to the signal booster and then to a power outlet. The LED display on the booster will show the working status. Check your mobile phone to confirm signal improvement.

Installation Steps diagram: Step 1: Search good signal place (stronger than -70dB), install outdoor antenna. Step 2: Use cable to connect outdoor antenna and signal booster. Step 3: Connect indoor antenna and signal booster. Step 4: Check connections and turn on power.

The booster will continuously work to maintain and improve your cellular signal. You should observe an increase in signal bars on your mobile devices and improved performance for calls and data.

7. Maintenance

The GOBOOST Signal Amplifier is designed for low maintenance. To ensure its longevity and optimal performance:

  • Keep Clean: Periodically wipe the booster unit and antennas with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Check Connections: Occasionally inspect all cable connections to ensure they remain tight and free from corrosion. Loose connections can degrade performance.
  • Environmental Protection: Ensure the outdoor antenna is securely mounted and protected from extreme weather conditions. The booster unit should be kept in a dry, well-ventilated area.
  • Heat Dissipation: The aluminum alloy shell is designed for efficient heat dissipation. Ensure the booster unit has adequate airflow around it and is not covered or placed in an enclosed space that could trap heat.

8. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues with your signal amplifier, consider the following common solutions:

  • No Signal Improvement:
    • Ensure the outdoor antenna is pointing towards the nearest cell tower and is in an area with a strong existing signal.
    • Check all cable connections for tightness and proper seating.
    • Verify that the booster is powered on and the LED indicators are active.
    • Confirm that the booster's frequency band matches your mobile operator's frequency band.
  • Fluctuating Signal:
    • Ensure adequate separation between the outdoor and indoor antennas (at least 10-15 meters vertically and horizontally) to prevent oscillation.
    • Check for any new obstructions that might be blocking the outdoor antenna's line of sight to the cell tower.
  • Booster Not Powering On:
    • Check the power adapter and ensure it's securely plugged into both the booster and a working power outlet.
    • Try a different power outlet.

9. User Tips

  • Verify Package Contents: Upon receiving your GOBOOST Signal Amplifier kit, carefully check all items against the "Package Contents" section to ensure you have everything needed for installation.
  • Optimal Antenna Placement: The performance of your signal booster heavily relies on the outdoor antenna's placement. Experiment with different outdoor locations and orientations to find the strongest signal before permanently mounting.
  • Minimize Obstructions: For best results, ensure there are as few physical obstructions as possible between the outdoor antenna and the cell tower, and between the indoor antenna and your mobile devices.
