4. Setup and Initial Use

4.2 Connecting the Scanner

  1. Locate the OBD2 port in your vehicle. This is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side.

5. Operation

5.1 OBD-Level Diagnostics (Universal)

This mode provides standard OBD2 functions applicable to all OBD2 compliant vehicles (engine system only).

  • Read Codes: Displays Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and their definitions.

5.4 Battery Registration & Testing

When replacing a vehicle battery, it is crucial to register the new battery with the vehicle's system. The BM700 Pro simplifies this process.

  1. Step 1: Identify if the existing battery is dead or needs replacement.
  2. Step 2: Replace the original battery with a new one (original or same type).
  3. Step 3: On the BM700 Pro, navigate to the "BAT" or "BMS Reset" menu and choose the battery registration option.
  4. Step 4: Enter the 12-digit code of the new battery when prompted.
  5. Step 5: Press the "OK" button to complete the registration.

  • When performing battery registration, double-check the 12-digit code of the new battery for accuracy.
