3. Setup and Installation

Safety First: Before installation, ensure the main power supply is turned off to prevent electric shock. Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician if you are unsure.

3.1 Mounting the Device

  • The device is designed for DIN rail type snap installation.
  • Align the device with the DIN rail in your distribution box or mounting location.
  • Press firmly until it snaps securely into place. No screws are required for fixation.

3.2 Wiring

  • Utilize the large wiring port design for easier and quicker connections.
  • Connect the three-phase four-wire (3P4W) system to the designated terminals on the device. Refer to local electrical codes and wiring diagrams for correct phase and neutral connections.

3.3 App Connection (Tuya APP)

  1. Download the "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" application from your mobile phone's app store (iOS or Android).
  2. Register or log in to your Tuya account.
  3. Power on the device. The WiFi indicator on the device should start blinking, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  4. In the Tuya app, tap "+" to add a new device.
  5. Follow the in-app instructions to connect the device to your WiFi network. You may need to select the device type (e.g., "Electricity Meter" or "Circuit Breaker").
  6. Once connected, the WiFi indicator on the device will become solid.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Local Operation (Physical Buttons)

  • The device features physical buttons for direct control and setting adjustments.
  • Use the Up and Down buttons to navigate through display menus or adjust values.
  • The OK button is used to confirm selections or enter settings.
  • The Settings (Gear icon) button allows access to configuration menus where you can customize protection thresholds (e.g., overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent).
  • The LCD display shows real-time voltage (U), and individual phase voltages (L1, L2, L3).

4.2 Remote Operation (Tuya APP)

  • Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app on your mobile device.
  • Select your Tuya WiFi 3P4W Photovoltaic Meter from the device list.
  • The app interface will display real-time data, including voltage, current, and energy consumption.
  • You can remotely set or modify protection thresholds (overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, etc.).

4.3 Protection Functions

The device provides comprehensive protection against various electrical anomalies:

  • Overvoltage Protection: Automatically disconnects power if voltage exceeds a set threshold.
  • Undervoltage Protection: Disconnects power if voltage drops below a set threshold.
