Wiring Diagram

Figure 3: Back wiring diagram for the 12V four-wire PWM fan temperature control speed regulator.

Figure 4: Detailed view of wiring terminals.
- Power Supply (DC12V): Connect your DC12V power source (within 8-16V range) to the input terminals. Ensure the power supply voltage matches the fan's working voltage.
- 4-wire PWM Fan Connection: Connect your 4-wire PWM fan to the designated fan interface (2510-4P specification, pin spacing 2.54mm). The connections are for PWM Control Signal, Fan Speed Signal, Fan Power VCC, and Fan Power GND.
- Temperature Sensor Connection: Connect the NTC 10K, B=3950 temperature probe to the XH2.54-2P interface. The probe does not distinguish between positive and negative poles.
7. Operating Instructions
Control Panel Overview

Figure 5: Front panel with button and indicator labels.
- Buttons:
-+: Increase value / Navigate up
--: Decrease value / Navigate down
-OK: Enter setting / Save and Exit - Indicators:
-X100RPM(Red LED): On when the digital tube displays fan speed (unit is 100 rpm).
-°C(Red LED): On when the digital tube displays temperature in Celsius.
-RUN(Red LED): On when the fan output is started and the fan is running.
Setting Parameters
The controller has three main settings: Initial Fan Speed, Fan Start Temperature (L**), Full Speed Temperature (H**), and Stop Temperature (C**).
- Setting Initial Fan Speed:
- Press theOKbutton once to enter the initial speed setting. The display will show a value (e.g., "20").
- Use the+and-buttons to adjust the initial fan speed. This is the speed at which the fan will operate if no temperature probe is connected, or the minimum speed when the temperature is below the start temperature.
- PressOKagain to save the setting and exit. - Setting Fan Start Temperature (L**):
- Long press theOKbutton until "L**" appears on the display (e.g., "L35"). This is the temperature at which the fan will start running.
- Use the+and-buttons to adjust the start temperature.
- PressOKto save and proceed to the next setting. - Setting Full Speed Temperature (H**):
- After setting L**, the display will show "H**" (e.g., "H45"). This is the temperature at which the fan will run at full speed.
- Use the+and-buttons to adjust the full speed temperature.
- Note: The full speed temperature (H**) and the stop temperature (C**) should have a temperature difference of 5°C or more.
- PressOKto save and proceed to the next setting. - Setting Stop Temperature (C**):
- After setting H**, the display will show "C**" (e.g., "C30"). This is the temperature at which the fan will stop running.
- Use the+and-buttons to adjust the stop temperature.
- Note: The stop temperature (C**) and the start temperature (L**) should have a temperature difference of 2°C or more.
- PressOKto save all settings and exit.
Operation Demonstration
Watch this video for a visual guide on setting up and operating the fan speed controller:
Video 1: Demonstration of setting parameters and fan response to temperature changes.
Once configured, the controller will monitor the temperature via the sensor. When the temperature reaches the set start temperature (L**), the fan will begin to spin. As the temperature rises, the fan speed will increase proportionally until it reaches the full speed temperature (H**), at which point it will run at maximum speed. When the temperature drops to the set stop temperature (C**), the fan will cease operation.
8. User Tips
- Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the device.
- Place the temperature sensor in a location that accurately reflects the temperature you wish to control (e.g., near a CPU, GPU, or inside the chassis).
- Experiment with the L**, H**, and C** settings to find the optimal balance between cooling performance and noise for your specific setup.
- Remember the temperature difference requirements for H** vs C** (5°C+) and C** vs L** (2°C+).
9. Troubleshooting
- Fan not spinning:
- Check power connections to the controller and fan.
- Verify the fan is a 4-wire PWM type.
- Ensure the current temperature is above the set start temperature (L**).
- Check the temperature sensor connection. - Incorrect speed display:
- Ensure the fan is a 4-wire PWM type with speed signal output. - Controller not responding to buttons:
- Power cycle the device.
10. Maintenance
The controller requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean and free from dust. Ensure proper airflow around the controller to prevent overheating. Do not expose to moisture or extreme temperatures.
