2. Mounting the Slider

The EVO slider offers flexible mounting options for various shooting scenarios.

  • Tripod Mounting: Attach the slider to a tripod using the standard 1/4" or 3/8" screw ports located on the bottom. Ensure the tripod is stable and can support the combined weight of the slider, camera, and any accessories.
  • Multiple Installation Methods: The slider can be mounted overhead or underslung for creative shot angles.

3. Camera and Accessory Mounting

  • Camera Mounting: Secure your DSLR or cine camera to the slider carriage using the appropriate screw mount.
  • Load Capacity: The slider supports a horizontal load of up to 5kg and a vertical load of up to 2.5kg.

4. Powering On

  • Ensure a battery is securely installed or connect a USB-C power source (5-12V).
  • Press the Power Button (7) to turn on the slider.
  • The side-mounted battery design ensures the camera body does not interfere with control interfaces.

Operating Instructions

1. Basic Movement and Speed Control

  • Use the Real-time Speed Adjustment Knob (8) to control the slider's speed. The speed range is 0.5mm/s to 57mm/s.
  • The EVO slider features an ultra-quiet brushless motor, ensuring silent operation for pure audio capture even at high speeds.

2. Manual Point Selection and AB-Point Setup

  • Manual Point Selection: You can manually position the camera carriage along the rail.
  • Instant AB-Point Setup: Use the A Point Button (10) and B Point Button (11) to quickly set start and end points for automated movements.

3. Focus-Locked Orbital Shots

  1. After installing the camera, keep the camera 90° vertical to the rail.
  2. Align the red dot on the slider with the '0' mark on the rail.
  3. Move the rail to center the subject in the frame.
  4. Adjust the follow focus to center the subject in the monitor.
  5. Press the "Point A button".
  6. Press the "Point B button".
  7. Press the "Loop button".
  8. Press the "Start/Stop button" to begin loop shooting.

4. Magnetic Center Return

The focus handle features a built-in magnetic function. When orbital shots are not needed, it instantly snaps back to the center, eliminating the need for repeated adjustments of the locking knob.

5. Marking Spots

The slider features etched scales for precise positioning. Lock positions once to return flawlessly to your desired spot.

6. App Control

The EVO system supports advanced filming modes like time-lapse and stop-motion via a dedicated app. Core functions such as A-B point setting and orbital shots can also be controlled directly from the slider's control keys without needing a phone.

  • Unusual noise: Inspect the slider rail and belt for any foreign objects or damage. Clean the rail if necessary.
