5.3. Indicator Light

The indicator light will turn on and flash for 10 seconds in the following situations:

  • Each time the battery is correctly installed.
  • When the heart rate belt is moved with acceleration.

During firmware upgrades, the indicator light will stay solid red and turn off once the upgrade is complete.

The color of the indicator light indicates the battery level:

  • Green light: Battery level ≥ 5%
  • Red light: Battery level < 5%

5.4. Using the CYCPLUS App

Search for "CYCPLUS" in your device's app store (e.g., App Store or Google Play) to download and use the official CYCPLUS APP. This app provides quick access to the latest firmware updates and additional settings. Firmware updates may include functional changes, so please refer to the update notes within the app for details.

6. Maintenance and Storage

  1. Rinse the chest strap with clean water and hang or lay it flat to dry every time after use.
  2. If washing the chest strap outdoors is not possible, wipe the sweat from the electrode pads, connector, and surface of the HRM Sensor after use. Separate the HRM Sensor from the chest strap and place them in a well-ventilated area. Clean and dry the chest strap as soon as possible.
  3. It is recommended to remove the HRM Sensor from the chest strap to extend battery life for storage.

Important Notes:

  • In cold and dry environments, the HRM may take a few minutes to provide accurate and stable data. To ensure precision, start recording your workout after a thorough warm-up.
  • Avoid overstretching the chest strap to prevent damaging the electrode pads.
  • Sweat accumulation can affect data accuracy; remove the HRM Sensor after each use, rinse the chest strap with water, and hang it to dry.
  • Avoid placing a damp heart rate chest strap in airtight containers, as this may cause oxidation of the connector, affecting measurement accuracy and shortening its lifespan.
  • Do not use chemical cleaners, as they may impact the accuracy and reduce the lifespan of the chest strap.
  • Store the heart rate chest strap flat or hung after use, avoiding bending or rolling it, and keep it out of direct sunlight for extended periods.
  • The heart rate chest strap is not a medical device; the data is for reference only. If you experience any discomfort, please seek medical attention promptly.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Inaccurate or Unstable Readings:
    • Ensure electrode pads are wet before use.
    • Confirm the chest strap is worn snugly against the skin.
    • Perform a thorough warm-up before starting your workout, especially in cold/dry conditions.
    • Clean the chest strap and sensor regularly to prevent sweat accumulation from affecting data.
  • Connectivity Issues:
    • For Bluetooth, ensure only one device is attempting to connect at a time.
    • For ANT+, multiple devices can connect simultaneously.
    • Check battery level; replace if low.
    • Ensure the device you are trying to connect to supports BLE or ANT+.
  • Device Not Activating:
    • Ensure the battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge.
    • Move the chest strap to activate the accelerometer.
  • Short Battery Life:
    • Remove the HRM Sensor from the chest strap when not in use to ensure it enters sleep mode.
    • Avoid storing the damp chest strap in airtight containers, which can cause oxidation and reduce lifespan.
