Setup
Safety Precautions
- Ensure the VFD is installed by qualified personnel.
- Always disconnect power before making any connections or performing maintenance.
- Ensure proper grounding to prevent electric shock.
- Do not touch terminals while power is applied.
- Install in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and corrosive gases.
Wiring Instructions
Refer to the wiring diagrams below for correct connection of the main circuit and control panel terminals. Incorrect wiring can damage the VFD and connected equipment.

Figure 6: Overview of VFD terminals. Note: R, S, T are input terminals. For 220V single-phase input, connect to any two of R, S, T pins.

Figure 7: Detailed wiring diagram. Connect AC Power Input to R, S, T. Ensure proper grounding. Output U, V, W connect to the spindle motor.
Main Circuit Terminals:
- R, S, T: AC Power Input. For single-phase 220V input, connect to any two of these terminals. For three-phase input, connect to all three.
- Ground Symbol: Connect to earth ground.
- U, V, W: Three-phase output to the motor (e.g., spindle motor).
Control Panel Terminals:
The control panel terminals provide connections for external control signals. Refer to the detailed diagram in Figure 7 for specific terminal functions such as UPF, DRV, DCM, SPL, SPM, SPH, RST, REV, FOR, ACM, V0, 10V, AI, VI, RS+, RS-.
Operating Instructions
Basic Operation
- Power On: Ensure all wiring is correct and secure. Apply power to the VFD. The LED display will light up.
- Start Motor: Press the RUN button on the control panel. The motor should start and the display will show the current operating frequency.
- Adjust Speed: Use the Speed Control Knob to adjust the output frequency and thus the motor speed.
- Change Direction: Use the REV button to switch between forward and reverse rotation.
- Stop Motor: Press the STOP button to halt the motor.
Programming Parameters
The VFD offers extensive programming capabilities to fine-tune its performance for various applications. To enter programming mode, press the PRGM button. Use the ▲ (Up) and ▼ (Down) buttons to navigate through parameters and adjust values. The SHIFT button can be used to move the cursor. Press SET to save changes.
Detailed parameter settings and their functions are typically covered in the full English manual provided via email. Please consult that document for advanced configuration.
Maintenance
- Regular Cleaning: Keep the VFD clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings are not blocked to allow for proper heat dissipation.
- Connection Checks: Periodically check all electrical connections for tightness and signs of wear or corrosion.
- Environmental Conditions: Operate the VFD within its specified environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) to ensure longevity.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your VFD, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Check the main power supply and all input connections. Ensure fuses or circuit breakers are not tripped.
- Motor Not Running: Verify that the RUN command is active. Check motor wiring (U, V, W) and ensure the motor is not overloaded or jammed. Check for any error codes on the display.
- Incorrect Speed: Adjust the speed control knob. Verify frequency settings in programming mode if external control is used.
- Overload/Overcurrent Fault: Reduce the motor load. Check for short circuits in motor wiring. Verify motor parameters are correctly set in the VFD.
- Overvoltage/Undervoltage Fault: Check the input power supply voltage. Ensure it is within the VFD's specified range.
