5. Setup
5.1 Charging the Device
The BSIDE OS1 comes with an included battery. To charge, connect the provided USB data cable to the Type-C charging port (No. 10 in Figure 3) on the device and to a standard USB power source.
5.2 Connecting Test Leads
- For Multimeter functions: Connect the red test lead to the INPUT socket (No. 7) and the black test lead to the COM socket (No. 8).
- For Oscilloscope functions: Connect the red test lead to the OSC socket (No. 9) and the black test lead to the COM socket (No. 8).
5.3 Power On/Off
Long press the MODE button (No. 1) to power the device on or off.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 General Operation
- Switching Modes: Short press the MODE button (No. 1) to toggle between Multimeter and Oscilloscope modes.
- Auto Range: Press the AUTO button (No. 3) for automatic detection and ranging.
- Data Hold / Screenshot: Short press the SAVE button (No. 2) to pause the display. Long press the SAVE button to capture a screenshot of the current display. Screenshots are saved internally and can be exported via USB.
- Navigation: Use the FUNCTION WHEEL (No. 5) and MOVE button (No. 4) to navigate menus and adjust settings.
6.2 Multimeter Functions
In Multimeter mode, connect the test leads to the INPUT and COM sockets. Use the FUNCTION WHEEL to select the desired measurement type.

- AC/DC Voltage Measurement: Select the voltage function (V~ for AC, V- for DC) and connect the probes across the circuit or component.
- Resistance Measurement: Select the resistance function (Ω) and connect the probes across the component.
- Capacitance Measurement: Select the capacitance function (F) and connect the probes across the capacitor. Ensure the capacitor is discharged before measurement.
- Continuity Test: Select the continuity function. The device will beep if the resistance is below 50Ω.
- Diode Measurement: Select the diode function. Connect the probes across the diode; the LED will light up for a forward bias.
- Electric Pen Mode: The device supports both induction and contact electric pen modes for quick voltage detection.
6.3 Oscilloscope Functions
In Oscilloscope mode, connect the red test lead to the OSC socket and the black lead to COM. The device can display various waveform parameters.

- Waveform Display: The device can capture and display waveforms such as sine, square, pulse, sawtooth, and noise signals.
- Automatic Measurement: The oscilloscope automatically measures period, frequency, peak-to-peak voltage (VPP), maximum voltage (Vmax), minimum voltage (Vmin), and RMS voltage.
- Trigger Modes: Select between Automatic, Normal, or Single trigger modes. Triggering can be set for rising or falling edges.
- Signal Output: The device can output a standard 3V, 1KHz square wave signal.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the device in the provided storage bag when not in use to protect it from dust and physical damage.

8. Troubleshooting
- Device not powering on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source using the USB cable and try again.
- Incorrect readings: Verify that the test leads are correctly connected and that the appropriate measurement function is selected. Ensure good contact with the circuit.
- Oscilloscope display issues: Check input attenuation settings (x1, x10) and trigger settings (mode, edge).
- High-pressure anti-burning protection: The device is designed with overvoltage protection (CAT.II 600V). If exposed to excessive voltage, the protection mechanism may activate. Disconnect from the circuit immediately and allow the device to cool down before attempting further use.

- Probe Usage: For oscilloscope measurements, you do not need a special oscilloscope probe; the standard multimeter test leads can be used.
- Screenshot Management: All display interfaces support screenshots, similar to a mobile phone. These images are saved on the device and can be exported to a computer via the USB Type-C port.
- Safety Precaution: Always exercise caution when measuring electrical circuits. Pay close attention to the positive and negative poles and avoid contact with metal parts of the probes or circuit when power is applied.
