2. Safety Information

  • Visible Light Fusion Distance: For optimal visible light fusion effects, maintain a distance of 1m to 5m from the target. Using the camera too close may exceed the offset adjustment range and result in inaccurate fusion.
  • Calibration Plate: The thermal imaging detector includes a mechanical control calibration plate for non-uniformity correction. This plate calibrates approximately every 10 seconds to ensure measurement accuracy. A brief pause of 1-2 seconds during operation is normal and indicates calibration.
  • Laser Pointer Safety: The device is equipped with a Class 2 laser pointer. Avoid direct eye exposure to the laser beam. Do not stare into the beam.
  • Battery Safety: Use only the specified charging cable and power adapter. Do not disassemble or expose the battery to extreme temperatures.
  • Operating Environment: Operate the camera within the specified operating temperature range of -10℃ to +60℃. Avoid extreme humidity or dusty environments.

5. Setup

5.1 Charging the Battery

The ET693C comes with a built-in 2600mAh lithium battery. Before first use, ensure the device is fully charged.

  1. Connect the provided USB Type-C data cable to the camera's Type-C port (located on the top of the device).
  2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  3. The charging indicator on the device will show the charging status. A full charge provides approximately 4 hours of working time.

5.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button (usually combined with the Back button) until the screen illuminates.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the shutdown prompt appears, then confirm. The device also supports custom automatic shutdown settings (e.g., 5, 10, 30, 60 minutes, or Never).

Navigate to the 'Image Mode' setting in the menu to select your desired display mode. Use the 'Offset adjustment' to fine-tune the alignment between thermal and visible images in fusion modes.

  • Video Recording: Press the designated button to start/stop video recording (MP4 format).

All captured images and videos are stored in the 8GB built-in memory (approx. 6.19GB usable, capable of storing over 20,000 pictures).

6.6 Real-Time Connection and Data Transfer

  • Cannot connect to PC: Ensure the USB Type-C cable is securely connected to both the camera and the computer. Try a different USB port or cable. Make sure the necessary drivers or software are installed on your PC.
  • Device freezes or becomes unresponsive: Perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the Power button until the device restarts. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
