2. Important Safety Information

Please observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the product:

  • FOR USE WITH ELECTRIC VEHICLES ONLY.
  • Do not remove the cover or attempt to open the enclosure.
  • Do not use this product if there is any damage to the unit.
  • No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, connect only to properly grounded outlets or grid.

5. Installation

IMPORTANT: Connection to a distribution box must be performed by a qualified specialist.

5.1 Wallbox Mounting

  1. Flip the product over to the back and locate the pre-installed wall mounting backplate.
  2. Press the elastic limiting clips on the backplate to the left to separate the limiting clips on the box and slide the backplate downward.
  3. Fix the backplate with the raised side facing outward and the limiting clips facing downward to the wall with expansion screws, and check whether the backplate is firmly installed.
  4. Align the snap bit on the back of the box with the snap bit on the backplate, and slide the box down after fitting the backplate, and then the control box and the backplate will snap into place when a clear "click" sound.

5.2 Initial Wiring (1-Phase)

For fixed installations, ensure proper 1-phase wiring as shown in the diagram. This procedure must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

  • Connect the Neutral (N) wire.
  • Connect the Live (L1) wire.
  • Connect the Protective Earth (PE) wire.

5.3 Installation Options

The dé Wallbox offers flexible installation methods:

  • Fixed Installation: Directly connect to your home's distribution box.
  • CEE Plug Installation: Install the included CEE plug and connect it to a compatible CEE socket.

6. Operation

6.1 LCD Display Information

The high-resolution LCD screen provides real-time charging information:

  • Current (real-time): Displays the current charging amperage.
  • Voltage (real-time): Shows the current voltage.
  • Charged energy: Accumulative energy charged in kWh.
  • Power (real-time): Displays the current charging power in kW.
  • Error: Indicates any detected errors.
  • Current adjustment: Shows the selected charging current.
  • Planned time: Displays scheduled charging times.
  • Connection: Indicates vehicle connection status.
  • RFID status: Shows if RFID is active or inactive.
  • Timer: Displays charging timer.
  • Pause: Indicates if charging is paused.

6.3 Manual Control Operation

You can control the charging process directly from the wallbox:

  1. Step 1: Insert the CEE plug (if using CEE socket installation).
  2. Step 2: Adjust the current (Press 1x to cycle through 6A/10A/13A/16A/20A/24A/32A) and delay time setting (Press & Hold to set 0.5h-8h delay).
  3. Step 3: Insert the Type 2 plug into your vehicle's charging port.
  4. Step 4: Use the RFID Card to authorize charging (if RFID is enabled).

Note: All settings cannot be modified after the Type 2 connector has been plugged into the vehicle's charging port.

6.4 RFID Card Authorization

The RFID function provides an additional layer of security and control:

  • RFID is deactivated by default.
  • To activate the RFID function, hold an RFID card against the wallbox for 10 seconds.
  • Once activated, charging will require a swipe of an authorized RFID card.
  • Multiple RFID cards can be used for family members, and RFID settings can be managed via the app.

6.5 Smart Charging Reservation

Optimize your charging schedule to take advantage of lower electricity costs:

  • Adjustable Current: Easily adjust the charging current from 6A to 32A.
  • Delay-Time Charging: Set a charging delay from 0.5 hours to 8 hours to start charging at your preferred time.

7. App Setup and Remote Control

The "tuya smart" app allows for remote control and monitoring of your dé Wallbox.

7.1 Downloading and Registering the App

  1. Scan the QR code provided in the product packaging or search for "tuya smart" in your mobile device's app store (Google Play for Android, App Store for iOS).
  2. Download and install the app.
  3. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.

7.2 Wi-Fi Setup and Device Connection

  1. Ensure your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) is connected to a secure 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth is enabled. Allow access to your location during connection.
  2. Make sure the wallbox is within the Wi-Fi signal coverage before connecting.
  3. Open the "tuya smart" app and follow the on-screen instructions to add a new device. The app will search for nearby devices.
  4. The wallbox can only be linked to one account. You can delete the wallbox from the app to pair it with another device, and share the device with your family members on the app.

7.3 App Features

Once connected, the app allows you to:

  • Monitor charging activity (real-time voltage, current, power, charged energy).
  • Start/Pause charging remotely.
  • Adjust charging current.
  • Set charging schedules and delay times.
  • Disable/Enable RFID function.
  • View charging history.

8. Maintenance

8.1 General Care

  • Keep the wallbox clean and free from dust and debris. Use the provided microfiber cloth for cleaning.
  • Regularly inspect the charging cable and connectors for any signs of wear or damage. Do not use if damaged.
  • Ensure the cable is properly stored using the cable holder when not in use to prevent damage.

8.2 How to Remove the Wallbox

If you need to remove the wallbox from its mounting, follow these steps:

  1. Locate the bottom removal hole and insert a long, hard stick such as a screwdriver until it reaches the elastic limit clip.
  2. Push slightly to the left to separate the two pieces of the limit clip.
  3. Remove the Wallbox by sliding it upward while keeping the limiting clips separate.

9. Troubleshooting

9.1 Common Questions

  • Charging Speed: How quickly does the wallbox charge?
    The wallbox can charge up to approximately 46 km/hr when set to 7.4kW (32A, 1-phase).
  • Usage in Rain: Does this wallbox work when it rains?
    Yes, it's safe to use in the rain. The wallbox is IP54 rated, and the Type 2 connector is IP55 when coupled. However, avoid using it during heavy rain and ensure that any connected sockets or grid are at least IPX4 rated.

9.2 Error Codes

If an error occurs, the LCD screen will display an error indication. Refer to the table below for common error codes and solutions:

  • Check if your mobile device is connected to a secure 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth is activated. Allow access to your location during connection.
  • Check if your mobile and the wallbox are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check if you input a correct Wi-Fi password and the wallbox is under a strong Wi-Fi signal.
  • Check if the wallbox is linked to another device. If so, unbind the device on the app.
  • Check if a 5GHz Wi-Fi is used. Try a Personal Hotspot, or change 5GHz to 2.4GHz to connect your mobile. Consult the router supplier for detailed instructions on router configuration.

10. User Tips

  • Sleep Mode: If the charger remains inactive on standby for over 5 minutes, it will automatically enter sleep mode. To reactivate, click the button, swipe an RFID card, or plug in the Type 2 connector.
  • RFID Activation: RFID is deactivated by default. To enable it, hold an RFID card against the wallbox for 10 seconds. Once enabled, RFID settings can be managed via the app.
  • Cable Management: Utilize the included cable holder to keep your charging cable neatly organized and prevent damage when not in use.
