  3. Carefully align the notches on your Intel 12th/13th/14th Gen CPU with the keys on the socket.
  4. Gently place the CPU into the socket. Do not force it.
  5. Close the load plate and secure it with the retention lever.
  6. Install the CPU cooler according to its manufacturer's instructions.

5.3 Memory (RAM) Installation

  1. Locate the two DDR4 DIMM slots.
  2. Open the retention clips at both ends of the DIMM slot.
  3. Align the notch on the DDR4 memory module with the key in the DIMM slot.
  4. Insert the memory module firmly into the slot until the retention clips snap into place.

5.4 Storage Device Installation

M.2 SSD Installation

  1. Locate the M.2 NVMe (PCI-E 3.0X4) and M.2 NGFF (SATA3.0) slots.
  2. Remove the M.2 standoff screw.
  3. Insert the M.2 SSD into the slot at an angle.
  4. Press down the SSD and secure it with the standoff screw.

SATA Drive Installation

  1. Connect one end of the SATA cable to a SATA3.0 port on the motherboard.
  2. Connect the other end of the SATA cable to your SATA hard drive or SSD.
  3. Connect a SATA power cable from your power supply to the drive.

5.5 Expansion Card Installation

  1. Locate the PCIE5.0 x16 slot (for graphics cards) or PCIE3.0 x1 slot.
  2. Remove the corresponding expansion slot cover from your PC case.
  3. Align your expansion card with the slot and press firmly until it is seated correctly.
  4. Secure the card with a screw to the PC case.

5.6 Power Connections

  1. Connect the 24-pin ATX power connector from your power supply to the main power socket on the motherboard.
  2. Connect the 8-pin 12V CPU power connector from your power supply to the CPU power socket near the CPU.

Important: This motherboard requires a powerful power supply. Ensure your power supply is at least 500W from a reputable brand.

5.7 Front Panel and Rear I/O Connections

Connect your case's front panel headers (Power Switch, Reset Switch, Power LED, HDD LED, Front Audio, Front USB) to the corresponding pins on the motherboard as indicated in the motherboard layout diagram (Figure 6).

  1. After completing all hardware installations, connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
  2. Connect the power cord to your power supply and turn on the power switch on the PSU.
  3. Press the power button on your PC case.
  4. The system should boot and display the BIOS/UEFI screen or begin the operating system installation process.

6.2 BIOS/UEFI Setup

To enter the BIOS/UEFI setup utility, press the DEL key repeatedly during the initial boot sequence. In the BIOS, you can configure system settings such as boot order, date/time, and hardware parameters. Save changes before exiting.

6.3 Driver Installation

After installing your operating system, install the necessary drivers for the motherboard's components (chipset, LAN, audio, etc.). Drivers can typically be found on the manufacturer's website or provided on a utility disc (if included).

7. Maintenance

  • Keep Clean: Regularly clean dust from inside your PC case and motherboard components using compressed air. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.
  • BIOS Updates: Periodically check the JINGSHA website for BIOS/UEFI updates. Updating the BIOS can improve system stability, compatibility, and performance. Follow the update instructions carefully to avoid damaging the motherboard.
  • Driver Updates: Keep your system drivers updated to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with new software and hardware.

8. Troubleshooting

  • No Display: Ensure your graphics card (if dedicated) is properly seated and connected to power. Check monitor cables and input selection. If using integrated graphics, ensure your CPU supports it and connect to the motherboard's video output (HDMI/VGA).
  • System Won't Boot: Double-check all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU). Verify that RAM modules are correctly seated. Ensure the CPU is properly installed. Confirm the CMOS battery is installed.
  • System Instability/Crashes: This can often be related to insufficient power supply. Ensure your PSU meets the minimum 500W requirement and is from a reliable brand. Check for overheating components (CPU, GPU). Update drivers and BIOS.
  • Peripherals Not Detected: Ensure USB devices are connected to the correct ports. Check front panel headers for proper connection.
  • Visual Discrepancies: Note that due to different production batches, the color of DIMM slots, SATA ports, PCI/PCI-E slots, or other minor components may vary from the images shown. This does not affect product quality or functionality.

9. User Tips

  • Power Supply: Always use a powerful and reliable brand power supply (at least 500W) to ensure system stability and prevent issues.
  • CMOS Battery: Remember to install a CR2032 CMOS battery upon receiving the motherboard, as it is typically removed for shipping safety.
  • BIOS and Drivers: For optimal performance and compatibility, always obtain the latest BIOS files and drivers directly from JINGSHA customer service or their official website.
