5. Operating Instructions

The NB North Bayou Dual Monitor Arm offers extensive adjustability to achieve your ideal viewing position:

  • Height Adjustment: Use the gas spring mechanism to effortlessly raise or lower your monitors. Adjust the tension screw (usually located on the arm joint) with the provided Allen wrench if the monitor sags or springs up too easily.
  • Tilt: Tilt your monitors +15° to -60° to reduce glare and optimize viewing angles.
  • Swivel: Swivel the monitors ±90° horizontally to share your screen or change your viewing perspective.
  • Rotation: Rotate your monitors 360° to switch between landscape and portrait orientations.
  • Cable Management: Utilize the integrated cable management clips or channels along the arms to keep your cables tidy and organized.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the monitor arm with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Periodic Checks: Regularly check all screws and bolts to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Gas Spring Tension: If the monitor arm feels too loose or too stiff over time, re-adjust the gas spring tension screw according to the instructions in Section 5.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Monitor Sags or Won't Stay Up: The gas spring tension is too low for the monitor's weight. Increase the tension by turning the adjustment screw clockwise (usually marked with a '+' or 'tighten').
  • Monitor Springs Up Too Easily or Won't Go Down: The gas spring tension is too high. Decrease the tension by turning the adjustment screw counter-clockwise (usually marked with a '-' or 'loosen').
  • Arm Movement is Stiff: Check if any cables are caught in the arm joints. Lubricate pivot points with a silicone-based spray if necessary.
  • Monitor Wobbles: Ensure the VESA plate screws are tight and the desk mount (clamp or grommet) is securely fastened to the desk.
