6. Maintenance

  • Battery Charging: The motor has a built-in 1200mAh lithium battery. While the solar panel provides auxiliary charging, it is recommended to charge the motor via the Type-C power cord periodically, especially if the solar panel exposure is insufficient or the battery level is low. A full charge can last 3-5 months depending on usage.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the motor and solar panel with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.
  • Gears: Periodically check the gears for any wear or debris and clean if necessary to ensure smooth operation.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Motor not responding: Check if the battery is charged. If using the solar panel, ensure it receives sufficient sunlight or charge directly via the Type-C cable.
  • APP pairing failed: Ensure your Zigbee Gateway is properly connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Verify the motor is in APP pairing mode (rapidly blinking indicator). Try restarting both the motor and the gateway.
  • Remote control not working: Ensure the remote is paired correctly (long press SET on motor, then press Up/P2 on remote). Check the remote's battery if applicable.
  • Limits not setting correctly: Follow the limit setting procedure carefully in the APP. Ensure the blinds move freely without obstruction.
  • Voice control issues: Verify that the motor is successfully linked to your smart assistant (Alexa, Google Home, Yandex) through the Smart Life/Tuya Smart APP. Check your internet connection and smart assistant device.

8. User Tips

  • Maximize Solar Charging: Position the solar panel to receive maximum direct sunlight throughout the day to extend battery life and reduce the need for manual charging.
  • Utilize Scheduling: Take advantage of the timing function to automate your blinds. This can help with energy efficiency by closing blinds during peak sun hours or opening them for natural light.
  • Implement Child Lock: If you have young children, enable the child lock function in the app to prevent unintended operation of the blinds.
  • Experiment with Speed Settings: Adjust the motor speed to find a setting that is comfortable and quiet for your environment.
