Setup Instructions

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
2. Slide open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert two (2) AAA batteries (not included), ensuring the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals align correctly with the indicators inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Important: Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity. Incorrect installation may damage the remote control.

2. Initial Use

This is a dedicated replacement remote control designed for direct compatibility. No complex pairing or programming is typically required. Once batteries are installed, point the remote control directly at your TCL TV and begin operation.

Operating the Remote Control

The remote control provides standard functions for navigating your TCL TV. Familiarize yourself with the button layout:

• Power Button (●): Turns the TV on or off.
• Number Pad (0-9): For direct channel selection.
• Navigation Pad (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK): Used to navigate menus and select options.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

To clean the remote control, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, as these can damage the remote's electronics or finish.

2. Battery Replacement

Replace batteries when the remote control becomes unresponsive or its range decreases significantly. Always replace both batteries at the same time with new ones of the same type (AAA). Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.

3. Storage

  • Make sure the remote control is pointed directly at the TV.
• Buttons Not Working:
  • If only certain buttons are not working, try cleaning the remote control as described in the Maintenance section.
  • If the issue persists after cleaning and battery replacement, the remote control may be faulty.
• Short Operating Range:
  • This usually indicates low battery power. Replace the batteries.
  • Ensure no strong light sources (like direct sunlight or bright fluorescent lights) are interfering with the IR signal.
