4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

After connecting the power adapter and USB cable, press the ON/OFF switch on the back of the enclosure to power it on. The enclosure will be recognized by your computer as external storage.

4.2 Data Access and Transfer

Once connected and powered on, your computer's operating system will detect the installed hard drives. You can then access, read, and write data to them as you would with any other external storage device. The enclosure features high-performance INIC6711+GL3590 dual main control chips for stable and high-speed data transmission.

4.3 Automatic Sleep Mode

To conserve energy and extend hard drive lifespan, the enclosure will automatically enter sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity (when no data is being transmitted). To wake up the hard disk enclosure, simply move your mouse or press a key on your keyboard.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 General Issues

  • Enclosure not recognized by computer:
    1. Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the enclosure is powered on.
    2. Verify the USB cable is properly connected to both the enclosure and your computer.
    3. Try a different USB port on your computer.
    4. Test with a different USB cable if available.
    5. Ensure your operating system is compatible (Windows 7/10/11, macOS 10.2+, Linux).
  • Hard drives not appearing:
    1. Confirm that the hard drives are correctly installed in their trays and secured.
    2. Check if the hard drives are properly formatted and partitioned for your operating system.
    3. If using new drives, they may need to be initialized and formatted through your computer's disk management utility.
  • Slow data transfer speeds:
    1. Ensure you are using a USB 3.0 or higher port on your computer for optimal speeds.
    2. Check the condition of your USB cable; a damaged cable can affect performance.
    3. Verify that your hard drives are functioning correctly.
