PQWT-TCM300 Underground Water Finder Instruction Manual

Model: PQWT-TCM300 | Brand: PQWT

1. Introduction

The PQWT-TCM300 Underground Water Finder is a geophysical survey instrument designed for detecting underground water sources. It utilizes the natural electric field as its working principle, measuring variations in the electric field components and electromagnetic energy to identify resistivity contrasts in underground rocks, minerals, and aquifers. This allows for the precise determination of geological structures, boundaries, faults, fractures, and the presence of water.

The instrument automatically presents collected data as curves and profiles, providing clear insights into subsurface formation structures and characteristics. It is an essential tool for geology, borehole water surveys, and other related applications.

5.3 Electrical Survey Mode

This mode provides more detailed analysis of subsurface resistivity. Ensure electrodes and ground rods are properly set up as described in the Setup section.

  1. Select "Electrical Survey" from the main menu.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure survey parameters (e.g., measurement points, spacing).
  3. Initiate the measurement. The instrument will automatically collect data.
  4. The device features "One-key Map Automatically" functionality, which will draw the curve map and profile map automatically based on the collected data.

5.4 Data Storage and Analysis

The PQWT-TCM300 can store geological curve maps and profile maps for over 999 survey lines. This data is convenient for generating exploration reports and further analysis.

  • Access stored data through the "Settings" or a dedicated "Data" menu option.
  • Data can be exported via the USB port or SD card slot for transfer to a computer.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and accessories with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the device and all components in the protective carrying case in a cool, dry place when not in use.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if the device is not used frequently, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
  • Cable Inspection: Periodically inspect all cables for signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately.
  • Ground Rods/Electrodes: Clean ground rods and electrodes after use to remove soil and debris. Ensure good electrical contact for future surveys.

7. Troubleshooting
