This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of your Sunster 2KW 12V/24V Diesel Air Heater. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use, and keep it for future reference.
1.1 Function
The Sunster Diesel Air Heater is designed to provide warmth inside vehicles and other enclosed spaces, preventing damage caused by sudden temperature drops. It preheats the engine coolant to reduce engine wear at low temperatures and assists with car interior thawing and glass defrosting.

4. Setup and Installation
Professional installation is recommended. Ensure the exhaust is vented externally.

This manual covers the All-in-One heater type. The heater is compatible with two main controller types:

5. Operation
5.1 Control Methods
Your heater offers three intelligent control methods: Bluetooth App, Remote Control, and LCD Display Screen.

5.2 App Download
To use Bluetooth App control, download the 'Sunster' app:
- For Android: Scan the QR code or search 'Sunster' in Google Play.
- For iOS: Scan the QR code or search 'Sunster' in the App Store.

5.3 S-A2200BS Smart Remote Control Operation
The S-A2200BS controller features a power button, gear/temperature/item adjustment keys, and a mode switch/setting key screen display area.

5.3.1 Basic Operations
- On/Off: Press the power button to turn on. In the powered-on state, press the power button to shut down.
- Mode Switch: In temperature control mode, press [M] to switch to gear mode. In gear mode, press [M] to switch to temperature control mode.
- Gear Adjustment: Press [▲] for +1, [▼] for -1. Maximum 10 gears/36°C, minimum 1 gear/8°C.
5.3.2 Advanced Settings (Engineering Mode)
When the device is powered on, press and hold [▲] and [▼] for 3 seconds to enter engineering mode. Use [▲] to move to the next item (+1) and [▼] for the previous item (-1). Data items are displayed on the screen.

5.3.3 Remote Control Quick Pairing
When the device is powered on, press [▲] and [▼] for 3 seconds. The screen displays 'P - 0 1'. Press any button on the remote control to successfully match. After success, it will automatically return to the running interface.
5.3.4 Bluetooth Matching
Switch to engineering mode 009. The interface displays "4 is the Bluetooth name". Open the APP, search for settings, find the Bluetooth name corresponding to this switch, and click Match. After automatic return, the interface will run.
5.3.5 Language Change
Press and hold [M] and [▼] for 3 seconds to switch languages. RU stands for Russian, EN for English, GE for German, OF indicates that the voice is turned off.
5.3.6 Pump Oil Mode
Press and hold [▼] for 7 seconds. The screen will display "Show open beginning 300 s count Open beginning Pump Oil". This mode allows for manual oil pumping.
5.4 S-A2302B Smart Remote Control Operation

5.4.1 Operation Mode Description
- Ventilation Mode: Fan works only, no heating. Wind speed 1-10 gears.
- Gear Mode: Heating according to set gear (1-10 gears).
- Strong Heating Mode: Heater runs at maximum output power for a maximum of 2 continuous hours.
- Temperature Control Mode: Current operation gear adjusts automatically based on the difference between set and ambient temperature. Lowest operating gear is 1, does not stop. Temperature setting range: 8~36°C.
- Constant Temperature Mode: Same as temperature control mode. Heating stops if ambient temperature is 2°C higher than set. Heater enters standby. Automatically turns on when ambient temperature is 2°C lower than set.
5.4.2 Operation Method
- Power On: In shutdown mode, directly press the power button. LCD screen displays current status.
- Power Off: In running state, directly press the power button. LCD display turns off after shutdown.
- Mode Switch: In running state, press the knob to switch between modes.
- Parameter Adjustment: Rotate the knob to adjust setting gear or temperature.
- View Carbon Monoxide Value: In running state, press the knob twice to view CO value. Press power button to exit. (Requires specific A2422 CO remote control).
5.4.3 Setting Mode
In running state, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode. Rotate the knob to switch items. Press the knob to enter an item. When an item flashes, rotate the knob to adjust. Press knob again to save, then power button to exit.
- F0: Current time setting (HH:MM, 24-hour system).
- F1: Timing start time setting
- F2: Timing start after running time setting
- F3: Timing function on or off setting
- F4: Voice broadcast voice setting (Factory default: English).
- F5: Ambient temperature compensation setting (Adjusts for deviation between ambient and displayed temperature, range -9℃~9℃, default 0).
- F6: Fuel tank oil level setting (Estimates oil consumption based on tank volume and pump type, displays remaining amount).
- F7: Fuel pump type setting
- F8: Constant temperature mode function setting
- F9: Temperature unit switching setting (Switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius).
- FA: Backlight brightness level setting (Adjusts backlight intensity, 0-100, default 100. Backlight reduces after 120s of inactivity).
- Fb: Full tank icon setting (Refills tank icon when oil level changes).
- FC: Carbon monoxide alarm value setting (Sets alarm threshold 0-500, default 0/off. Requires A2422 CO remote control).
6. Maintenance
6.1 Forced Oil Pumping
If the heater is installed for the first time or the fuel line is not completely filled, use forced oil pumping:
- Disconnect the switch power supply for more than 10 seconds.
- Turn on the power.
- After the LCD screen display goes out, press and hold the knob for about 5 seconds to enter forced oil pumping mode. The oil pump will operate at a higher frequency.
- The LCD screen starts counting down from 300 seconds.
- When the countdown ends, the mode exits automatically, or you can press the power button to exit.
6.2 General Maintenance Tips
- Regularly check the air inlet and outlet for any blockages.
- Ensure the fuel tank is not empty and refill as needed.
- Inspect fuel pipes for any blockages or damage.
- Keep the heater clean and free from dust and debris.
7. Troubleshooting (E Code Display)
The heater's LCD screen displays error codes (E codes) to indicate specific issues. Refer to the table below for solutions.
7.1 Checking Operating Parameters (Engineering Mode)
In the operating state, press and hold the knob for 3 seconds to enter engineering mode and check the operating status of the heater. The specific parameters are as follows:
- En01: Fault code (if any)
- En02: Furnace temperature
- En03: Power supply voltage
- En04: Current operating gear
- En05: Panel ambient temperature
- En06: Altitude
- En08: Remote control matching
- En09: The last four digits of the Bluetooth ID number.
7.2 E Code Solutions

| E05 | Overheating | Check if the air inlet and outlet are blocked. |
| E06 | Fan fault | Check if the fan plug is disconnected. If not, replace it. |
| E07 | Air intake sensor abnormality | Mainboard failure, replace the mainboard. |
| E08 | Lack of fuel | Check if the fuel tank is empty and add fuel. |
| E09 | Overheat sensor fault | Check if the sensor plug is disconnected. If not, replace it. |
| E10 | Startup failure | Check if the fuel tank is empty and add fuel, or check if the fuel pipe is blocked. |
| E11 | Carbon monoxide exceeds the standard (connect A2422) | If CO concentration exceeds standard, open windows for ventilation and evacuate the environment immediately. |
8. User Tips
- Optimal Placement: Consider installing the heater in a location that allows for efficient air circulation and easy access for maintenance.
- Fuel Efficiency: Utilize the 24-hour timer and intelligent constant temperature control features to optimize fuel consumption and maintain desired warmth without waste.
- Noise Reduction: The heater is designed for low noise operation (<75dB). Ensure all components are securely fastened to minimize vibrations.
- Safety First: Always ensure proper ventilation, especially when using the heater in enclosed spaces. Regularly check for any blockages in air intake/outlet and ensure the exhaust is properly vented outside.
