Setup & Installation

1. Battery Installation

The battery is typically pre-installed or easily slides into the compartment on the back of the radio. Ensure it clicks securely into place.

2. Antenna Connection

Screw the provided antenna clockwise onto the SMA-Female connector at the top of the radio until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten. For optimal performance, especially for shortwave reception, consider using a dedicated SMA-Male shortwave antenna.

Important Note on Antennas: The original antenna is designed for FM/136-174/400-470MHz. For frequencies outside this range (e.g., 27MHz CB or 50MHz), a specialized antenna compatible with that specific frequency range must be purchased and used separately to ensure proper operation and prevent damage.

3. Charging the Battery

Connect the Type-C charging cable to the radio's Type-C port and the other end to a compatible USB power source (wall adapter, car charger, computer, or power bank). The charging indicator will show the charging status.
