5. Component Overview

Familiarize yourself with the various components and interfaces of the decoder board:

6. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your Kebidu MP3 Decoder Board:

  1. Power Connection:

    Connect the provided wiring harness to the DC 5V input terminals on the board (VCC(+) and GND(-)). Ensure the power supply is DC 5V (within 3.7V-5V range) and provides at least 2A current. Incorrect voltage or insufficient current may damage the device or affect performance.

  2. Speaker Connection:

    Connect your 5W speakers to the R(-)R(+) and L(-)L(+) terminals using the wiring harness. Ensure correct polarity for optimal sound quality. The board supports two 5W speakers.

  3. Microphone Connection (Optional):

    If using a microphone for karaoke or hands-free calls, plug it into the 6.5mm Microphone Jack on the front panel.

  4. Initial Power On:

    Once all connections are secure, switch the OFF/ON button to the 'ON' position. The LED display should light up.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1. Basic Operation

  • Power ON/OFF: Use the OFF/ON switch on the front panel.
  • Mode Switching: Press the 'MODE' button on the front panel or remote control to cycle through available input sources: USB → TF → LINE IN → FM → Bluetooth.
  • Volume Control: Use the 'VOL+' and 'VOL-' buttons on the front panel or remote control to adjust the volume. Long press for continuous adjustment.
  • Play/Pause: Press the 'SCAN' button on the front panel or the Play/Pause button on the remote control.
  • Next/Previous Track: Use the 'VOL+' (next) and 'VOL-' (previous) buttons on the front panel (short press) or the corresponding buttons on the remote control.

7.2. USB/TF Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or a TF card into the TF card slot.
  2. The device will automatically switch to USB/TF mode and begin playing music. If not, press the 'MODE' button to select the correct source.
  3. Use 'VOL+' / 'VOL-' for track navigation and 'SCAN' for play/pause.
  4. To switch between folders, double-click the 'VOL+' (next folder) or 'VOL-' (previous folder) buttons.

7.3. Bluetooth Operation

  1. Switch the device to Bluetooth mode using the 'MODE' button. The LED display will show "BT" or a similar indicator.
  2. On your smartphone or Bluetooth device, search for available Bluetooth devices. The device name will typically appear as "kebidu BT5.0" or similar.
  3. Select the device to pair. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation tone.
  4. You can now play audio from your connected device. Use the board's controls or your phone to manage playback and volume.
  5. For hands-free calling, accept incoming calls from your phone. The built-in microphone (or external microphone if connected) will be used for communication.

7.4. FM Radio Operation

  1. Switch the device to FM mode using the 'MODE' button. The LED display will show the current FM frequency.
  2. Press the 'SCAN' button (short press) to initiate an automatic station scan. The device will search for and save available FM stations.
  3. Use the 'VOL+' and 'VOL-' buttons (short press) to navigate between saved stations.

7.5. LINE IN (AUX) Mode

  1. Connect an external audio source (e.g., smartphone, MP3 player) to the AUX input jack using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).
  2. Switch the device to LINE IN mode using the 'MODE' button.
  3. Audio from the external source will now play through the connected speakers. Control playback from your external device.

7.6. Remote Control Functions

The remote control provides convenient access to all major functions:

  • Power Button: Turns the device on/off.
  • Mode Button: Cycles through input modes.
  • Play/Pause Button: Toggles playback.
  • Previous/Next Track Buttons: Navigates tracks.

  • EQ Button: Cycles through equalizer presets (if available).

9. Troubleshooting

10. User Tips

  • For best sound quality, ensure your speakers are rated at 5W and connected with correct polarity.
  • When using the microphone, keep the volume at a moderate level to avoid feedback or distortion.
