1. Product Overview

The EAZYRC 1:18 Thunder Storm is a highly simulated 4WD remote control climbing vehicle designed for off-road adventures. This Ready-to-Go (RTR) model offers a realistic driving experience with detailed features and robust performance across various terrains.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Vehicle Battery

1. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the vehicle's battery.
2. Plug the USB cable into a compatible USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
3. Allow the battery to charge fully. Refer to the battery indicator on the charger for status.

4.2 Installing Batteries in the Remote Controller

1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote controller.
2. Insert the required batteries (usually AA or AAA, check markings on the compartment) ensuring correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.3 Binding the Remote Controller to the Vehicle

The vehicle and remote controller are typically pre-bound from the factory. If re-binding is necessary:

1. Ensure both the vehicle and remote controller are powered off.
2. Turn on the remote controller.
3. Turn on the vehicle.
4. Press and hold the 'BIND' button on the remote controller (refer to Figure 3 for button location) until the indicator light on the remote or vehicle confirms successful binding.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Controls

• Throttle Trigger: Pull to move forward, push to brake/reverse.
• Steering Wheel: Turn left to steer left, turn right to steer right.
• Trim Adjustments: Use the 'TRIM' buttons on the remote to fine-tune steering and throttle if the vehicle doesn't drive straight or stops when the trigger is neutral.
• Reverse (REV) Button: Changes the direction of the steering or throttle.
• Dual Rate (D/R) Button: Adjusts the sensitivity of steering or throttle.

5.2 Driving the Vehicle

The Thunder Storm RC Climbing Vehicle is designed for various terrains, offering a balanced chassis and stable support for climbing. Its simulated bevel gear drive axle and non-load-bearing chassis ensure good motion rigidity in rough terrain.

5.3 Terrain Capabilities

Experience climbing fun in multiple venues and cross all terrains with ease. Suitable for desktop, sand, mountain road, rock, and shallow water areas. The 104:1 Torque Gearbox makes slope challenges easy, with a maximum climbing angle of 42°.

5.4 Lighting System

The vehicle is equipped with LED white light headlights and brake lights. These can be turned on and off with one click for easier operation, allowing for driving in the dark without fear.

6. Maintenance

6.1 General Cleaning

• After each use, especially in dusty or muddy conditions, clean the vehicle with a soft brush or cloth.
• Avoid using water directly on electronic components. If necessary, use a damp cloth and ensure components are dry before next use.
• Check for any debris lodged in the wheels, suspension, or chassis.

6.2 Battery Care

• Always fully charge the Lithium Battery before use.
• Do not overcharge or over-discharge the battery.
• Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• If the vehicle or remote controller will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.

6.3 Motor and Drivetrain

• Periodically inspect the Brushed 050 motor for any signs of wear or damage.
• Ensure the gears and drive shafts are free from obstructions and rotate smoothly.

6.4 Suspension and Tires

• Professional Upgrade: Includes metal shock absorber set (black gold), metal drive shaft (1 pair for front and rear), and side pedals (1 pair).

7. Troubleshooting

• Vehicle not responding to remote:
  - Ensure both the vehicle and remote controller are powered on.
  - Check if batteries in both devices are charged and correctly installed.
  - Re-attempt the binding process (refer to Section 4.3).
• Vehicle moves slowly or stops unexpectedly:
  - The remote control will provide a sound reminder when the voltage is low or if not operated for a long time. This indicates low battery. Recharge the vehicle battery.
  - Check for any obstructions in the wheels or drivetrain.
• Vehicle does not drive straight:
  - Use the 'TRIM' adjustments on the remote controller to correct the steering.
• Lights not working:
  - Ensure the vehicle battery is charged.
• Unusual noises during operation:
  - Power off the vehicle and inspect the gears and motor for any foreign objects or damage.

8. User Tips

• Practice in Open Areas: Start driving in open, flat areas to get accustomed to the controls before tackling challenging terrains.
• Regular Inspection: Before and after each use, quickly inspect the vehicle for any loose screws, damaged parts, or debris to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Battery Management: Always fully charge your vehicle's battery before an extended play session. For best battery life, avoid completely draining the battery.
• Terrain Awareness: While the Thunder Storm is capable of various terrains, be mindful of extremely wet or deep water conditions to protect electronic components, even if the receiver is splashproof.
