4. Installation
4.1 Mechanical Structures and Dimensions
The V1-SP(WT) controller has specific dimensions and features for installation. The mounting ears on both sides can be broken along the indentation to suit different mounting needs.

4.2 Wiring Diagram
Ensure proper wiring for safe and effective operation. The wiring can be solid or stranded with a cross-sectional area of 0.5 to 2.0 mm². Conventional 1mm² wire can withstand 10A output current. When wiring, terminals must be tightened to prevent high contact point resistance and overheating. The output power of a constant voltage power supply should be at least 1.2 times that of the output load (LED strip) to avoid flickering or shaking of the light.

4.3 System Wiring
The system supports both wired and wireless connections. The control distance is measured in a spacious, obstacle-free environment. Ensure your WiFi router operates in the 2.4G band (5G band is not available) and is not hidden. Keep V1-SP(WT) devices close to the router and verify WiFi signals for optimal performance.
5. Operation
5.1 Push Switch Dimming
The push switch interface can be connected to a push panel switch or push button for dimming control:
- Short press: Turns the light on or off.
- Double-click: Switches brightness between 10% and 100%.
- Long press (1-6s): Continuously increases or decreases brightness. Long press again after release to change the brightness in the opposite direction.
- Dimming memory: The brightness value set by long-pressing the Push switch is saved with power-down memory.
- Synchronize: If multiple controllers are connected to the same self-reset switch, long press for 10s to synchronize all lights to 100% brightness. It is recommended that the number of controllers connected to the same push switch does not exceed 25, and the connecting wire length does not exceed 20m.

5.3 Work as WiFi-RF Converter
The V1-SP(WT) can act as a WiFi-RF converter, matching with RF LED controllers or RF dimmable LED drivers. There are two methods to match/delete:
Using Controller's Key:
- Match: Short press the controller's match key, then immediately press the on/off button on the Tuya Smart APP. A fast flash of the LED indicator signifies successful matching.
- Delete: Long press the controller's match key for 5 seconds to delete all matches. A fast flash of the LED indicator signifies all matched remotes were deleted.
Using Power Restart (Optional):
- Match: Switch off the power of the controller, then switch it on again. Immediately press the on/off button on the Tuya Smart APP 3 times. The light flashing 3 times signifies successful matching.
- Delete: Switch off the power of the controller, then switch it on again. Immediately press the on/off button on the Tuya Smart APP 5 times. The light flashing 5 times signifies all matched remotes were deleted.
5.4 Match with RF Remote Control
There are two ways to match/delete the V1-SP(WT) with an RF remote control:
Using Match Key:
- Match: Short press the match key to enter match state. Immediately press the on/off key (for single zone remote) or zone key (for multi-zone remote) on the remote. A fast flash of the LED indicator signifies successful matching.

5.5 PWM Frequency Setting
Four PWM frequencies can be selected: 500Hz, 2KHz, 8KHz, or 16KHz. A higher PWM frequency results in lower output current and higher power supply noise, but is more suitable for camera shooting (video without flicker).
5.6 Dimming Curve Setting
The controller supports both linear and logarithmic dimming curves.

Figure 8: PWM Frequency and Dimming Curve Settings
5.7 On/Off Fade Time Setting
The light on/off fade time can be adjusted:
- Press and hold the SET key for 15 seconds to restore default parameters (light on/off fade time is 0.5s).
- Press and hold the SET key for 20 seconds to set the light on/off fade time to 3s.
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your V1-SP(WT) controller, keep the device clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. Regularly check wiring connections for tightness to prevent issues.
7. Troubleshooting
- Light flickering or shaking: Ensure the output power of your constant voltage power supply is at least 1.2 times that of the LED strip's total load. Check for loose wiring connections.
- No response from remote/app: Verify the controller is properly powered. Check WiFi signal strength and router settings (2.4G band only). Re-attempt pairing with the app or remote control as per instructions. Ensure no metal objects are obstructing the signal path.
- Overheating: Ensure adequate ventilation around the controller. Maintain at least 20cm distance from other heat-generating devices and avoid stacking.
- Inconsistent dimming: Check the selected dimming curve (linear/logarithmic) and PWM frequency settings.

9. User Tips
- For optimal smart home integration, ensure your Tuya Smart APP is updated to the latest version.
- When setting up WiFi, place the controller and router in close proximity to facilitate a stable connection.
- Experiment with different PWM frequencies (500Hz, 2KHz, 8KHz, 16KHz) to find the best setting for your specific LED strip and application, especially if flicker-free video recording is a priority.
- Consider using the logarithmic dimming curve for a more natural and smooth dimming experience, particularly at lower brightness levels.
