Installation

The Intelamp Solar Light is designed for versatile and secure installation. Ensure you have all the necessary tools (drill, screwdriver, pencil) before beginning.

Choosing an Installation Location:

  • The solar panel should be installed in a location that receives direct sunlight for most of the day, especially facing south for optimal charging.
  • Consider the desired lighting area and the motion sensor's range (up to 100 feet with linkage) when positioning the light.

Mounting Options:

The light can be securely installed on walls, boards, or round and square posts using the provided metal mounting bracket and accessories.

Step-by-Step Installation:

  1. Assemble the Bracket: Attach the metal mounting bracket to the solar light unit. The bracket allows for an 18-degree tilt angle for the solar panel, optimizing charging efficiency and allowing rain to clear dust.
  2. Adjust Solar Panel Angle: The angle of the solar panel can be adjusted in three levels to achieve better charging effects. Secure it with the provided screws.
  3. Mark Drilling Points: Hold the assembled light unit against the desired installation surface. Use a pencil to mark the drilling points for the mounting bracket.
  4. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points. For masonry or concrete, use appropriate drill bits and wall anchors.
  5. Mount the Light: Secure the light unit to the surface using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
  6. Final Adjustments: The lamp has a rotatable bracket for installation at any angle, allowing you to direct the light as needed.

Operation

The Intelamp Solar Light features intelligent control via a remote control, offering various modes and brightness settings.

Initial Setup:

After installation, ensure the light is exposed to direct sunlight for at least 5 hours to fully charge the battery before first use. Press the 'ON' button on the remote control to activate the lamp. It will then turn on automatically at night.

Remote Control Functions:

Remote control functions for timed lighting and brightness.

  • ON/OFF: Turns the light unit on or off.
  • Sensor Mode:
    • 30s / 3m / 10m: Sets the duration for high-brightness lighting after motion detection (30 seconds, 3 minutes, or 10 minutes).
    • Dim: In sensor mode, the light will turn to a dim brightness (400LM) after motion is no longer detected.
    • Off: In sensor mode, the light will turn completely off after motion is no longer detected.
  • Lighting Mode (No Motion Sensor):
    • 2H / +1H / 6H: Sets the light to stay on for a fixed duration (2 hours, 3 hours, or 6 hours) at night, then switch to dim or off based on the 'Dim/Off' setting.
    • Dim: After the timed lighting duration, the light will switch to dim brightness.
    • Off: After the timed lighting duration, the light will turn completely off.
  • Brightness Adjustment:
    • 60% / 80% / 100%: Adjusts the overall brightness level for all modes.

The chosen mode and brightness settings will be automatically saved and the lamp will operate accordingly.

Intelligent Motion Sensing & Linkage:

The light features dual motion sensors for a 180° detection angle and an operation range of 25ft * 2. Additionally, it incorporates a long-range motion sensor system:

  • When someone approaches the light, its sensitive sensors will activate high brightness.
  • The light will also send a signal to trigger other Intelamp solar lights of the same type within 100 feet to turn to high brightness simultaneously, creating an extended security zone.
  • When motion is no longer detected, the light will return to its dim state or turn off based on your remote control settings.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures optimal charging efficiency.
  • Waterproofing: The lamp is sealed with outdoor glue to achieve IP65 outdoor waterproofing. Do not attempt to disassemble the unit, as this may compromise its waterproof integrity and void the warranty.
  • Battery Care: The electric vehicle-grade power battery has a working life of over 5 years. No user maintenance is required for the internal battery.

Troubleshooting

  • Light does not turn on at night:
    • Ensure the light is switched 'ON' via the remote control.
    • Verify the solar panel is receiving sufficient direct sunlight during the day (at least 5 hours).
    • Check for any obstructions blocking sunlight to the solar panel.
    • The battery might be low; allow it to charge for a full day in direct sunlight.
  • Motion sensor not working:
    • Ensure the light is in a sensor mode (30s, 3m, or 10m) and not in a constant lighting mode.
    • Check if the sensor is obstructed by dirt or debris.
    • Confirm the remote control battery is functional.
  • Light is dim or not lasting long:
    • Ensure the solar panel is clean and receiving maximum sunlight.
    • Adjust the brightness setting to a lower percentage (60% or 80%) to conserve power, especially during winter or cloudy periods.
    • The battery may not be fully charged due to insufficient sunlight.

User Tips

  • Optimize Battery Life: The longer the motion sensing delay time, the more power is consumed. For continuous lighting during extended rainy periods, it is recommended to choose the 30-second delay time.
  • Seasonal Brightness Adjustment: Use 100% brightness during sunny seasons. In winter or during prolonged cloudy weather, consider adjusting to 80% or 60% brightness to ensure longer lighting duration.
  • Solar Panel Orientation: Always install the solar panel in a location that maximizes direct sunlight exposure, ideally facing south, to ensure efficient charging.
