6. Maintenance

6.1. General Cleaning

Regularly clean your PC case and motherboard to prevent dust buildup, which can lead to overheating and component failure. Use compressed air to remove dust from fans, heatsinks, and other components. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before cleaning.

6.2. BIOS Updates

Periodically check the HUANANZHI official website for BIOS updates. BIOS updates can improve system stability, add support for new hardware, or fix bugs. Follow the instructions provided with the BIOS update carefully to avoid damaging the motherboard.

6.3. CMOS Battery

The motherboard uses a small coin-cell battery (CR2032) to power the CMOS memory, which stores BIOS settings and the system clock. If your system consistently loses time or BIOS settings, the CMOS battery may need replacement. Ensure the system is powered off and unplugged before replacing the battery.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Incompatibility Issues

Due to the wide variety of computer accessories, some components (e.g., certain brands or versions of CPU, RAM, M.2 SSDs) may experience incompatibility issues with the motherboard. It is recommended to confirm compatibility with the seller or manufacturer before purchase. If incompatibility occurs, try different components or consult support.

7.2. No Display/No Boot

  • Check all power connections (24-pin ATX, 8-pin CPU).
  • Ensure RAM modules are correctly seated in their slots. Try booting with one RAM stick at a time.
  • Verify the CPU is correctly installed and the cooler is making proper contact.
  • If using a dedicated graphics card, ensure it is properly seated in the PCIe x16 slot and has power connected (if required).
  • Check monitor connections and ensure the monitor is set to the correct input source.
  • Clear CMOS: Locate the JBAT jumper on the motherboard (refer to Figure 8 or 9), move the jumper cap to the clear position for a few seconds, then return it to the default position. Alternatively, remove the CMOS battery for 1-2 minutes and then reinsert it.

7.3. Network/Audio Not Working

  • Ensure all necessary drivers are installed for your operating system. Visit the HUANANZHI official website for the latest drivers.
  • Check physical connections for network cables and audio jacks.
  • Verify settings in your operating system's network and sound control panels.

8. User Tips

  • Always ensure proper grounding and anti-static precautions when handling the motherboard and other components.
  • When installing the CPU, apply a small, pea-sized amount of thermal paste to the center of the CPU for optimal heat dissipation.
  • For best memory performance, install two identical DDR4 modules to utilize dual-channel memory mode.
  • Keep your operating system and drivers updated to ensure system stability and performance.
  • If you encounter issues, consult the motherboard's official support resources or community forums for assistance.
