2. Setup Guide
Follow these steps to set up your BMAX B4 Ultra Mini PC:
- Connect Peripherals: Connect your keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices to the available USB ports.
- Connect Display: Use an HDMI cable to connect your monitor(s) or TV to the HDMI 2.1 ports on the back of the mini PC. The B4 Ultra supports dual display output at 4K@60Hz.
- Connect Power: Plug the power adapter into the power jack on the back of the mini PC, then connect it to a power outlet.
- Power On: Press the power button located on the front of the mini PC. The system will boot up, typically in about 8 seconds.
- Initial Configuration: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 11 Pro setup. If you plan to use Linux (Ubuntu), you may need to install it after the initial setup.

2.1 Wall Mounting
The BMAX B4 Ultra features a convenient wall-mountable design to free up desk space. Use a compatible VESA mount (not included) to attach the mini PC to the back of your monitor or a wall.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Power On/Off
- Power On: Press the power button on the front panel.
- Shut Down: In Windows, go to Start > Power > Shut down. Alternatively, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to force a shutdown (not recommended for regular use).
3.2 Network Connectivity
The B4 Ultra supports dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0.
- Wi-Fi: In Windows, click the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar, select your network, enter the password, and connect.
- Bluetooth: In Windows, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices, turn on Bluetooth, and pair with your desired device.
- Ethernet: Connect an Ethernet cable from your router or modem to the Ethernet port on the back of the mini PC for a wired network connection.

3.3 Dual Display Setup
Connect two monitors to the two HDMI 2.1 ports. Windows will automatically detect the displays. You can configure display settings (extend, duplicate, or show only on one) via Display Settings in Windows.
3.4 Operating System Support
The B4 Ultra comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro. It also supports Linux distributions like Ubuntu, offering flexibility for different user needs.

4. Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean the exterior of the mini PC with a soft, dry cloth. Use compressed air to clear dust from ventilation grilles to ensure proper airflow and prevent overheating.
4.2 Software Updates
Keep your operating system and drivers updated to ensure optimal performance and security. Windows Update can manage most system updates.
4.3 Storage Expansion
The B4 Ultra supports storage expansion via an additional M.2 SATA SSD or M.2 NVMe SSD. Refer to the internal diagram for slot locations. Professional installation is recommended for hardware upgrades.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 No Power
- Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the mini PC and a working power outlet.
- Verify the power outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
5.2 No Display Output
- Check that the HDMI cable(s) are securely connected to both the mini PC and the monitor(s).
- Ensure the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.).
- Try connecting to a different monitor or using a different HDMI cable.
5.3 Network Connectivity Issues
- Wi-Fi: Check if Wi-Fi is enabled in Windows settings. Restart your router/modem.
- Ethernet: Ensure the Ethernet cable is properly connected. Check your router/modem status.
5.4 System Recovery (Factory Reset)
If your system experiences persistent issues, you can perform a factory reset. This will restore your Windows installation to its original state and erase all personal data. Ensure you back up important files before proceeding.

To perform a factory reset, follow the on-screen instructions in the Smart Recovery environment. You may need to access this environment during boot-up (specific key press may vary, often F8 or F11).
5.5 Clear CMOS Button
The Clear CMOS button (located on the front panel) can be used to reset BIOS settings to their default values. This can resolve issues related to incorrect BIOS configurations. Use a paperclip or a similar thin object to press the button gently.
