Troubleshooting
Polling Rate and Latency Issues
The controller boasts high polling rates for minimal latency:
- Wired: 1000Hz polling rate, 1.87ms latency.
- Bluetooth: 730Hz polling rate, 3.25ms latency.
If you experience unexpected latency or connection issues:
- For Windows 10/11 Bluetooth devices: Disable "Show notifications to connect using 'Swift Pair'" in settings. This can reduce latency by 30-300Hz.
- When connecting multiple devices to one Bluetooth adapter: Bandwidth sharing may lower polling rates. For optimal performance, use one adapter per controller.
- Avoid 5GHz Wi-Fi interference: Using 5GHz Wi-Fi near the controller may cause interference with Bluetooth, which can reduce polling rates.
Figure 15: Polling rate, latency, and troubleshooting tips
General Connection Issues
- Ensure the controller is sufficiently charged.
- Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the controller is in pairing mode.
- Try restarting both the controller and the device you are connecting to.
- If issues persist, try connecting the controller via USB to check for basic functionality.
User Tips
- For competitive gaming, consider using a wired connection to achieve the lowest possible latency (1.87ms).
- Experiment with the joystick sensitivity settings (ES PRO only) to find what works best for different game genres.
- If you prefer a different button layout, remember that Switch-layout keycaps are available separately for physical swapping.
- Regularly check for firmware updates from GuliKit to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
