9. Troubleshooting
9.1 Car Radio Won't Turn On
- Check Voltage: Ensure the car radio is receiving DC 12V power.
- Wiring Check: When testing, combine the red and yellow wires and connect them to the positive side of the power supply. Connect the black wire to the negative power supply.
- Fuses: Replace any blown fuses with the same type.
- Power Cables: Always use the provided power cables. Do not attempt to insert original car plugs directly into the unit.
9.2 "No Signal" Displayed When Reversing
- Camera Wiring: Verify that the camera's wires are properly connected to the car radio.
- Video Port: Ensure the video output from the rear camera is inserted into the "CAMIN" port of the car radio.
9.3 Time Displayed After Unit is Turned Off
- This is a built-in feature for convenience, allowing you to see the time even when the main functions are off. The unit is indeed turned off.
- If you do not wish for the time to be displayed, you would need to unplug the positive and negative power connections.
9.4 No Sound During Music Playback
- Audio Cable Compatibility: If not using the original audio cable, ensure your cable is compatible with the unit.
- Wire Conflicts: Check for any conflicting wire connections. No sound will be produced if speaker cables touch each other or if power cords touch speaker cables.
- Isolation Test: To diagnose, connect a single speaker to one group of audio cables at a time to test if sound is produced. Repeat for all four speaker cables.
10. User Tips
- For optimal performance, ensure all wiring connections are secure and properly insulated.
- When installing the rear camera, test the view before finalizing the mounting position.
- Keep the remote control accessible but not in a position where it could be accidentally pressed while driving.
- Regularly check for firmware updates (if available) on the manufacturer's website for improved functionality and bug fixes.
