Front View:

  • Display Screen: Central screen for settings and information.

5. Setup and Connection

5.1 Initial Use

Before using your gamepad for the first time, please connect the included Type-C charging cable and fully charge the controller. The charging port is located on the top edge of the controller.

5.2 Switch Connection

  1. Turn the power switch to "ON".
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to enter the controller's menu.
  3. Use the D-PAD to navigate to "Mode", then press R1 to confirm.
  4. Select "SW" (Switch mode) and press R1 to confirm. Press L1 to go back to the previous screen if needed.
  5. Wait for the startup animation to appear. Follow the prompt: press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu again.
  6. On the menu screen, navigate to "Pairing" and press R1 to confirm.
  7. On your Nintendo Switch console, go to "Controllers" > "Change Grip/Order" and complete the pairing process.

5.3 Wireless Receiver Connection (PC-Xinput)

  1. Turn the power switch to "ON".
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to enter the controller's menu.
  3. Use the D-PAD to navigate to "Mode", then press R1 to confirm.
  4. Select "Receiver" and press R1 to confirm. Press L1 to go back.
  5. Wait for the startup animation to appear. Follow the prompt: press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu again.
  6. On the menu screen, navigate to "Pairing" and press R1 to confirm.
  7. Insert the receiver into an available USB port on your PC.
  8. Press and hold the button on the top of the receiver for 1 second to complete the pairing.

5.4 Wireless Receiver Connection (PC-Dinput / Switch Pro Mode)

  • When connected to PC in Xinput mode via the receiver, press and hold the D-PAD Left and D-PAD Right buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to switch the controller to Dinput mode.
  • Press the same button combination (D-PAD Left + D-PAD Right) again for another 5 seconds to further switch to Switch Pro mode.

5.5 Bluetooth PC Connection

  1. Turn the power switch to "ON".
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to enter the controller's menu.
  3. Use the D-PAD to navigate to "Mode", then press R1 to confirm.
  4. Select "PC" and press R1 to confirm. Press L1 to go back.
  5. Wait for the startup animation to appear. Follow the prompt: press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu again.
  6. On the menu screen, navigate to "Pairing" and press R1 to confirm.
  7. On your PC, enable Bluetooth in the settings, then select "Xbox Wireless Controller" from the list of available devices to complete pairing.

5.6 Wired PC Connection

Turn the power switch to "ON", then connect the controller directly to your computer using the included USB cable. The controller will automatically configure itself for PC compatibility upon detection.

5.7 Bluetooth Phone Connection (Android/iOS)

  1. Turn the power switch to "ON".
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to enter the controller's menu.
  3. Use the D-PAD to navigate to "Mode", then press R1 to confirm.
  4. Select "Phone" and press R1 to confirm. Press L1 to go back.
  5. Wait for the startup animation to appear. Follow the prompt: press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu again.
  6. On the menu screen, navigate to "Pairing" and press R1 to confirm.
  7. On your smartphone, enable Bluetooth in the settings and select "Xbox Wireless Controller" from the list of available devices to complete pairing.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Language Selection

  1. Turn the power switch to "ON".
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to enter the controller's menu.
  3. Use the D-PAD to navigate to the "Language" option, then press R1 to confirm.
  4. Select your preferred language and press R1 to confirm. Press L1 to go back to the main menu.

6.2 Controller Calibration

If you experience issues with joystick or trigger accuracy, perform a calibration:

  1. Ensure the controller is powered OFF.
  2. Simultaneously press and hold the A + X buttons, then switch the controller to the "ON" position.
  3. The controller will enter calibration mode, indicated by red/blue LED lights flashing at a rate of 2 times per second.
  4. While in calibration mode:
    • Rotate both the left and right joysticks at normal speed through 2-3 complete rotations.
    • Press both the left and right triggers (L2/R2) at standard pressure for 2-3 full presses in linear mode.
  5. After completing these steps, place the controller flat on a stable surface and press the "≑" (Menu) button to finalize the calibration process.
  6. Upon successful calibration, the LED flashing will cease, and the controller will automatically return to its main interface.

6.3 Turbo Function Settings

The A, B, X, Y, L1, L2, R1, and R2 buttons can be configured with turbo functionality.

  • Manual Turbo: Press and hold the Turbo button simultaneously with any action button to activate manual turbo mode. The selected button will auto-fire when pressed, and stop when released.
  • Auto Turbo: Press the Turbo button plus the same action button again to enable automatic turbo. The button will continuously auto-fire until pressed once to toggle on/off.
  • Disable Turbo: Press the Turbo button with the same action button a third time to completely cancel the turbo function of that key.
  • Clear All Turbo: Hold the Turbo button for 3 seconds to disable all turbo configurations. This will be indicated by grayed-out icons on the screen.

Turbo Speed Adjustment:

  • Turbo + D-Pad Up: Fast speed (16 presses/second)
  • Turbo + D-Pad Right: Medium speed (8 presses/second)
  • Turbo + D-Pad Down: Slow speed (4 presses/second)

6.4 Back Button Customization

You can map the following controls to the rear M1 and M2 buttons: A, B, X, Y, L1, L2, R1, R2, D-pad directions (Up/Down/Left/Right), L3, and R3.

  1. Turn the power button to β€œON”.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu.
  3. Navigate to "Macro" using the D-Pad, then press R1 to confirm.
  4. Press R1 again to choose either M1 or M2.
  5. Record the desired button inputs. After completing the recording, press the "≑" (Menu) button to confirm and save.
  6. Once successfully saved, press the "β–‘" (Back) button to exit. The settings will be ready for normal use.

To Reset Back Buttons:

  1. Repeat the menu navigation process to enter "Macro" settings.
  2. Hold the target back button (M1 or M2) you wish to clear.
  3. Press the "≑" (Menu) button to save the cleared configuration.
  4. Press the "β–‘" (Back) button to exit.

6.5 Light Adjustment (RGB)

  1. Turn the power button to β€œON”.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu.
  3. Select either "Lighting Mode" or "Lighting Brightness" using the D-Pad to adjust the built-in LED effects or illumination intensity.

6.6 Vibration Adjustment

  1. Turn the power button to β€œON”.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu.
  3. Navigate to "Motor Settings" using the D-Pad, then press R1 to confirm.
  4. Adjust to your preferred vibration intensity.

6.7 Volume Adjustment

  1. Turn the power button to β€œON”.
  2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu.
  3. Navigate to the "Volume" option using the D-Pad.
  4. Adjust the headphone output level as desired.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Controller Reset

If your controller is unresponsive or behaving unexpectedly, you can perform a reset:

  • Method 1 (Physical Reset): Use a pointed tool (like a paperclip) to press the reset pinhole located on the back of the controller. This will restore the device to its original settings.
  • Method 2 (Software Reset):
    1. Turn the power button to β€œON”.
    2. Press and hold the HOME button for 3 seconds to access the menu.
    3. Navigate to "Reset" using the D-Pad.
    4. Press and hold the R1 button for 3 seconds to complete the reset.

7.2 Connection Issues

  • Controller not connecting: Ensure the controller is fully charged. Verify that you have selected the correct connection mode (Switch, PC, Phone) in the controller's menu.
  • Bluetooth pairing failure: Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the controller is in pairing mode. Forget previous pairings on your device and try again.
  • Receiver not recognized: Ensure the receiver is fully inserted into the USB port. Try a different USB port.
  • Input lag: Ensure the controller is within the 10-meter transmission range. Reduce interference from other wireless devices. For PC, consider using a wired connection for lowest latency.

8. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ECHTPower Phantom Wireless Gamepad, please follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the controller. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Charging: Use only the provided charging cable or a certified Type-C cable. Avoid overcharging or completely draining the battery frequently.
  • Physical Care: Avoid dropping the controller or subjecting it to strong impacts.
