4.3. Night Vision Modes

The camera offers powerful night vision capabilities with three modes:

  • Infrared Mode: Infrared lights turn on, displaying a clear black and white image in low-light conditions.
  • Double-Light Alert Mode: The camera operates in infrared night vision by default. Upon detecting motion, the white lights will turn on, switching to full-color mode and potentially deterring intruders.

5.3. Firmware Updates

Periodically check the iCSee app for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your camera, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:

  • Camera not powering on:
Ensure the power adapter is securely connected to both the camera and a working electrical outlet. Try a different outlet or power adapter if available.
  • Cannot connect to Wi-Fi:
Verify that your Wi-Fi network is 2.4Ghz. Ensure the camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router. Double-check your Wi-Fi password. Try resetting the camera (refer to the app for reset instructions) and attempting the connection process again.
  • Poor image quality:
Clean the camera lens. Ensure there are no obstructions in front of the lens. Check your internet connection speed; a slow connection can affect streaming quality. Adjust resolution settings in the iCSee app.
  • Motion detection not working or too many false alarms:
Adjust the motion detection sensitivity settings in the iCSee app. Define specific detection zones to focus on critical areas and exclude irrelevant ones (e.g., moving trees). Ensure AI Human Detection is enabled if you only want human-triggered alerts.
  • Two-way audio issues:
Check the volume settings on your smartphone and within the iCSee app. Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the camera's microphone or speaker.
  • SD card not recording:
Ensure the SD card is inserted correctly and is not full. Format the SD card through the iCSee app. If the issue persists, try a different compatible SD card.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, please contact customer support.

7. User Tips

  • Optimal Placement: For best results with AI detection and auto-tracking, mount the camera at a height that allows a clear, unobstructed view of the area you wish to monitor, typically 2.5-3 meters (8-10 feet) above ground.
  • SD Card Management: Regularly check the storage status of your SD card. If using continuous recording, consider setting up automatic overwriting of old footage or backing up important recordings.
  • Notification Settings: Customize your notification preferences in the iCSee app to receive alerts only for events that matter most to you, preventing notification fatigue.
