1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the Metz MUF7000Z UHD Google TV. This television features a 4K UHD LED panel, Eyecare 5.0 technology for visual protection, MEMC for smooth motion, HDR10 for enhanced contrast, and immersive Dolby Audio. It integrates Google TV with voice control and boasts a modern borderless design, making it suitable for various living spaces.
Please read this manual thoroughly before operating your TV and keep it for future reference.
2. Important Safety Instructions
To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- Read and retain all safety and operating instructions.
- Observe all warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions.
- Follow all instructions for use.
- Do not use this apparatus near water or moisture.
- Clean only with a dry cloth.
- Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not install near any heat sources such as direct sunlight, radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
- Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug.
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Use only attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
- Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. Exercise caution when moving a cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
- Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
- Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- CAUTION: These servicing instructions are for use by qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions unless you are qualified to do so.
- Do not install this equipment in a confined or built-in space such as a bookcase or similar unit, and maintain good ventilation in an open space. Ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
- Refer to the information on the external rear enclosure for electrical and safety information before installing or operating the apparatus.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus. Do not use the apparatus near dusty areas.
- Terminals marked with the symbol "4" may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock. The external wiring connected to the terminals requires installation by an instructed person.
- To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the table/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.
Battery Precautions
- Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
- Battery (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
- Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can cause hearing loss. Listening to music at high volume for long periods can damage your hearing. To reduce the risk of hearing damage, lower the volume to a safe and comfortable level and reduce the amount of time listening at high levels.
- The appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device; the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
- When not in use or when moving the apparatus, take care of the power cord. Before connecting the TV, ensure the power cord is in good condition. If damaged, contact service personnel to replace it with a manufacturer-specified cord.
- Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.
- No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus. To prevent the spread of fire, keep candles or other open flames away from the apparatus at all times.
- If the apparatus has the symbol □ on its rating label and the power cord has two pins, it means the equipment is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It has been designed in such a way that it does not require a safety connection to electrical earth.
- WARNING for appliances containing BUTTON/COIN CELL BATTERIES: This product contains a button/coin cell battery. If the button/coin cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death. Keep new and used batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

3. Setup
3.1 Unpacking and Base Installation
Note: Illustrations are for reference only. Avoid pressing the screen to prevent damage. Two or more people are needed to safely handle a large TV.
- Open the package.
- Remove the TV.
- Install the TV bases.
- Connect the power cable.

Base Installation Steps:
- Carefully place the TV screen-down on a stable, flat surface covered with a soft cloth or cushion.
- Align and insert the base supports into the corresponding holes at the bottom of the TV. Ensure the A/B marks on the TV and the correct end of the base support match.
- Secure the base supports to the TV by tightening the included screws. Note that the base design may vary depending on the region or model.
3.2 TV Positioning
- Install the screen on a solid horizontal surface, such as a table or desk. For proper ventilation, leave at least 10 cm of free space around the apparatus. Do not place objects on top of the apparatus to avoid errors or unsafe situations.
- Secure the rear of the enclosure to the wall (for some models only).
- Stability Warning: A television can fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions:
- ALWAYS use cabinets, stands, or mounting methods recommended by the television manufacturer.
- ALWAYS use furniture that can safely support the television.
- ALWAYS ensure the television does not overhang the edge of the supporting furniture.
- ALWAYS educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television or its controls.
- ALWAYS route television cables and those connected to it so they cannot be tripped over, pulled, or snagged.
- NEVER place a television in an unstable location.
- NEVER place a television on tall furniture (e.g., cabinets or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television to an appropriate support, such as a wall.
- NEVER place a television on cloth or other materials placed between the television and the furniture supporting it.
- NEVER place objects on top of the television or the furniture on which the television is placed that might encourage children to climb, such as toys or remote controls.
3.3 Wall Mounting
- An optional wall mount can be used with your TV. Consult your local dealer for recommended wall mounts. Carefully install the wall mount bracket on the back of the TV. Install the wall mount bracket on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. If you are attaching the TV to other building materials, contact qualified personnel to install the wall mount. Detailed instructions will be included with the wall mount. Use a wall mount bracket where the device is securely attached to the wall with sufficient space to allow connectivity to external devices.
- To prevent product damage or personal injury, ensure the TV screen remains vertical or tilted up or down within the 0° ~ 5° angle range when wall mounting.
- If the screen needs to be tilted downwards beyond the 0° ~ 5° range, you can purchase auxiliary accessories from your local dealer to mount the TV safely. Otherwise, it will not be covered by warranty, and the user will be responsible for any consequences.
- The installation height must be greater than 800 mm and less than 1100 mm. The minimum horizontal distance is 450 mm.

Wall Mount Specifications:
- Disconnect power before moving or installing the TV to avoid electric shock.
- Remove the base before wall mounting by reversing the base attachment process.
- If the TV is installed on the ceiling or at an incline, it could fall and cause serious personal injury. Use only an authorized wall mount and contact your local dealer or qualified personnel. Otherwise, it will not be covered by warranty.
- Do not overtighten screws, as this may damage the TV and void your warranty.
- To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the wall according to installation instructions.
- Use screws and wall mounts that comply with the following specifications. The warranty does not cover damage or injury caused by misuse or the use of inappropriate accessories.

3.4 Connecting External Devices (Terminals)
Note: Images are for reference only. External equipment and cables shown are not supplied with the TV. Some terminals may differ by region or model; refer to your actual TV. To prevent damage or injury, ensure the TV's power cable is disconnected before connecting external devices.
- AV IN: Receives audio and video signals from external AV devices.
- ANTENNA IN: Connect a coaxial cable to receive signals from an antenna, cable, or satellite.
- USB: USB port for connecting USB devices.
- HDMI: Receives HD input signals from external HDMI devices.
- DIGITAL AUDIO OUT: Use an optical cable to transmit audio from your TV to a compatible digital audio receiver.
- LAN: Network port for wired internet connection.
- HEADPHONE: Sends TV audio to connected headphones. Speakers will be muted when headphones are connected.
- CI: CI card slot. Note: To reduce fire risk, the CI port must be covered by the plastic cover when not in use. Ensure the fireproof enclosure of connected equipment is made of non-combustible material or UL94 V-0 rated materials. After using the CI port, cover it with the plastic cover. Keep the plastic cover in good condition for future use. If lost, contact your local dealer for a replacement.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Remote Control
Note: The image, buttons, and functions of the remote control may vary by region or model. Due to software improvements, remote control functions are subject to change without notice. Refer to your actual TV.
Remote Control Usage Precautions:
- Aim the remote control towards the remote sensor. Obstructions between the remote control and the sensor will interfere with normal operation.
- Avoid violent vibration of the remote control. Do not spray liquid on it or place it in highly humid environments.
- Do not place the remote control under direct sunlight, as this will cause deformation due to heat.
- If the remote sensor is under direct sunlight or strong illumination, the remote control will not function. In this case, change the lighting or TV position, or operate the remote control closer to the sensor.
- Before searching for Bluetooth devices, ensure external Bluetooth devices are in pairing mode. For the Bluetooth remote provided with the TV (may not be available), you can press the BACK and HOME buttons together to enter pairing mode. For other Bluetooth devices, refer to their instruction manuals for pairing mode.

Remote Control Functions:
- POWER (⏻): Turns the TV On or Off.
- In operating state: Short press to put TV in quick start mode. Long press to put TV in standby mode.
- In quick start mode (saves less energy): Press POWER to turn on TV faster.
- In standby mode (saves more energy): Press POWER to turn on TV normally.
- Number Buttons (0-9): Directly select channels or input numbers.
- INFO: Access the INFO interface.
- AD: Adjust audio settings (language, sound track, audio type, etc.) in DTV mode.
- SOURCE (⎚): Access the input source menu.
- FAV: Access the favorite channel list.
- TEXT: Access or exit the teletext menu.
- MEDIA (⏴): Access the media player.
- ACCOUNT (⏵): Sign in with your Google account to enjoy your favorite entertainment.
- Control Panel (⚙): Access your Google TV control panel.
- UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT: Navigate menus to select content, or press UP/DOWN to change channels.
- OK: Confirm, enter, or execute the selected item, or access the channel list.
- BACK (←): Return to the previous level or exit the current screen.
- GUIDE (▤): Access live TV or the electronic program guide.
- HOME (⌂): Access the home screen.
- Volume +/- (VOL +/-): Adjust the sound volume.
- EXIT: Exit the current operation.
- Rewind (◄◄): Rewind playback in the media player.
- MUTE (🔇): Mute or unmute the TV sound.
- Fast Forward (►►): Fast forward playback in the media player.
- Color Buttons (RED/GREEN/YELLOW/BLUE): Execute specific functions as indicated.
- Application Buttons: Quickly access specific applications (Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube).
- Shortcut Button (⏻): Short press to start or set the shortcut function for the first time. Long press to configure the shortcut function.
Battery Insertion for Remote Control:
Insert two AAA size batteries into the remote control's battery compartment, ensuring the polarity marks inside the compartment are matched.
4.2 TV Control Button
The TV control button is typically located on the underside or rear of the TV. Its functions are:
- In Standby Mode: Press the TV control button to power on the TV.
- In Operating Mode: Short press the TV control button to open the virtual keyboard menu. In the menu, short press to move the cursor and select the desired item, then long press to enter or execute the selected item.
Note: The "Find my remote" option in the virtual keyboard menu is only available if the Bluetooth remote control has an audible alert and is correctly paired with the TV. The "Channel -/+" option may not be displayed in the virtual keyboard menu in specific interfaces, such as the home screen.
4.3 Electronic Manual
The operating instructions are incorporated into your TV and can be viewed on the screen. To learn more about your TV's features, access the e-Manual as follows:
- Press the HOME button to access the home page.
- Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT and the OK button to select and enter "Electronic Manual" from the applications list.
Note: The electronic manual may not be available depending on the region or model.
5. Features
5.1 Eyecare 5.0 and Flicker-Free Technology
The Metz MUF7000Z incorporates Eyecare 5.0 technology for maximum visual protection. This, combined with flicker-free technology, ensures a comfortable viewing experience by eliminating visible and invisible flicker within the 0-3000 Hz frequency range, which can be certified when the central luminance is set to any luminance.
Note: Flicker-free technology may not be supported depending on the region or model.
5.2 Eye Protection Function
Prolonged exposure to blue light can damage your eyesight. This TV can protect your eyes by filtering blue light. To enable this function, select Panel → Image → Advanced Settings → View Protection Mode.
Tips for Eye Health:
- Avoid watching TV for extended periods; take a break every half hour. Viewing from a greater distance will also help your eyes rest.
- Regular eye exercises can improve blood circulation, relieve asthenopia, and prevent myopia.
Note: The eye protection function is only available on some models.
5.3 MEMC, HDR10, and Dolby Audio
- MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation): This technology smooths fast-moving scenes, reducing motion blur and providing a clearer, more fluid picture, especially beneficial for sports and action movies.
- HDR10: High Dynamic Range 10 delivers greater contrast and more realistic images with a wider range of colors and brightness levels, enhancing the visual depth and detail.
- Dolby Audio: Experience clear, powerful, and realistic audio. Dolby Audio provides an immersive and balanced sound experience, transforming your movies, series, and video games. Every detail is heard with precision, regardless of volume, offering home theater quality.
5.4 Google TV and Voice Control
This model features Google TV, providing a fluid and easy-to-use interface that allows you to access popular streaming services like YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video all in one place. Integrated voice control enables you to search for movies, play music, or check the weather easily using voice commands, offering a practical and modern user experience.

7. Troubleshooting
Before contacting technical support, consult the following table for possible causes and solutions to common problems:
7.1 General Problems
- Remote control not working:
- Change the batteries.
- Check if the batteries are installed correctly.
- Check if the main power is connected.
- Check for any obstructions between the remote sensor and the remote control.
- Poor signal: This is usually caused by interference from electronic equipment or radio interference sources.
7.2 Image and Sound Problems
- No image, no sound:
- Check the signal source.
- Connect another electrical device to the power outlet to ensure it is working or activated.
- Check if the power plug is in good contact with the power outlet.
- Normal image, no sound: If there is no sound, check if it is muted or increase the volume. Open the sound menu and adjust the "Balance".
- Abnormal image:
- For color loss or poor image quality: Adjust the color option in the menu settings.
- Keep the TV at a sufficient distance from other electronic products.
- Try another channel.
- For poor TV signal (mosaic or snow): Check the signal cable and adjust the antenna.
- Perform fine-tuning of the channel.
- Try another channel.
7.3 Media Player Problems
- "Invalid file" / "Audio not supported" message, or normal audio but abnormal video, or normal video but abnormal audio: The media file may be corrupted. Check if the file can be played on a PC. Verify if the video and audio codecs are compatible.
7.4 Network Problems
- Network failure: Check if the router is working correctly. Ensure the TV is correctly connected to the router.
7.5 Browser Problems
- Web page not fully displayed: Some third-party extensions on the current web page may not be supported; close the current web page.
- Browser forced to close: The current web page may contain too much content, leading to insufficient memory and the browser closing.
