5.5 24-Hour Parking Monitoring

The M2 offers 24-hour parking monitoring to safeguard your vehicle when unattended. This feature requires an optional intelligent hardwire kit (sold separately) for continuous power supply.

5.7 4-Hour Drowsy Driving Reminder

For your safety, if continuous driving for 4 hours is detected, the dash cam will issue a considerate voice prompt reminding the driver to take a proper break. This feature helps prevent fatigue and promotes safer driving.

5.8 Supercapacitor for Reliability

The M2 Dash Cam utilizes a supercapacitor instead of a traditional battery. This technology preserves complete video footage at the moment of power loss, preventing missing or corrupted critical recordings. It also offers enhanced safety and reliability, especially under extreme temperatures (-20°C to 70°C operating range).

6. Maintenance

6.1 MicroSD Card Management

  • Formatting: It is recommended to format the MicroSD card regularly (e.g., once a month) using the DDPai App or the dash cam's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
  • Replacement: Replace the MicroSD card if you notice frequent errors, slow recording, or if it has reached its lifespan (typically after extensive use).

The M2 supports up to 256GB MicroSD cards for extended recording.

6.2 Cleaning the Device

  • Lens: Gently wipe the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove dust or smudges. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • Body: Clean the dash cam's body with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use excessive moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam Not Powering On: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the dash cam and the car's power source. Check the car charger for proper function.
  • Recording Issues (e.g., freezing, skipped frames): Format the MicroSD card. Ensure you are using a Class 10 or higher MicroSD card. Try a different MicroSD card to rule out card issues.
  • Wi-Fi Connection Problems: Ensure the DDPai App is updated to the latest version. Restart both your phone's Wi-Fi and the dash cam. Make sure your phone is within close proximity to the dash cam.
  • Parking Monitor Not Working: Verify that the optional intelligent hardwire kit is correctly installed and connected to the vehicle's fuse box. Check the settings in the DDPai App to ensure parking monitoring is enabled.
  • Voice Control Not Responding: Speak clearly and ensure there is minimal background noise. Check the app settings for voice control activation.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal SD Card Use: For best performance and longevity, use a high-quality, reputable brand MicroSD card and format it regularly.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check the DDPai App for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date can improve performance and add new features.
  • Cable Management: Properly route and secure the power cable to avoid obstructing your view or interfering with vehicle controls. The included pry tool can assist with tucking cables.
• App Features: Explore all features within the DDPai App, including video editing and sharing options, to maximize your dash cam experience.
