3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install the bike mount extender on your handlebar:

  1. Prepare the Handlebar: Ensure the handlebar area where you intend to install the mount is clean and free of obstructions.
  2. Place the Washer: Position the anti-slip washer (gasket) around the handlebar at the desired installation point. This helps provide better grip and vibration reduction.
  3. Attach the Mount Body: Place the mount body over the washer, aligning the clamp with the handlebar.
  4. Secure the Bracket: Use the provided hex keys (3mm and 2mm) to tighten the fixing screws. Ensure the mount is firmly secured and does not rotate freely on the handlebar. Do not overtighten.
  5. Install Computer Base: The GARMIN standard code table base is pre-installed. If you are using a Wahoo computer, replace the pre-installed base with the Wahoo-compatible base provided. Use the appropriate hex key for this step.

4. Operating Instructions

Once the mount is securely installed, you can attach your desired accessories:

  • Bike Computers: The mount is compatible with Garmin, Bryton, and Wahoo cycling computers. Simply twist your compatible computer onto the installed base until it clicks into place.
  • Sports Cameras: The underside of the mount features a standard interface for GoPro action cameras. Attach your GoPro camera directly to this interface.
  • Bike Lights: Many bike lights come with a compatible mounting bracket that can be attached to the GoPro interface on the underside of the extender.

Ensure all devices are securely attached before riding.

5. Maintenance

To keep your GEOID Bike Mount Extender in excellent condition:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight. Re-tighten if necessary using the appropriate hex keys.
  • Storage: If removing the mount for extended periods, store it in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Mount feels loose on handlebar: Re-tighten the main fixing screws using the 3mm hex key. Ensure the anti-slip washer is correctly positioned.
  • Device (computer/camera/light) feels loose on the mount: Ensure the device is properly twisted or clicked into its respective base. Check if the base itself is securely fastened to the mount body.
  • Device does not fit: Verify that your device is compatible with Garmin, Bryton, Wahoo computer bases, or the standard GoPro interface.
