- Remove Original Cover: Carefully use the provided pry tool to remove the original rearview mirror cover.
- Connect Y-Cable: Locate the power connector for the rearview mirror. Connect the provided Y-cable to this connector and the dash cam's power input.
- Install Dash Cam: Align the Fitcamx Dash Cam with the mounting area and firmly press it into place until it clicks securely.
- Verify Installation: Ensure the dash cam is stable and the cables are neatly tucked away.

For some models, or if preferred, power can be drawn from the fuse box or OBD port. If you require a fuse box cable or OBD cable instead of the default plug-and-play cable, please contact support.
5.2. Rear Camera Installation (Optional)
For dual camera versions, the rear camera records the rear view or the cabin interior. It connects to the front camera via a dedicated cable.
- Connect Rear Cam Cable: Connect the rear camera cable to the designated port on the front dash cam.
- Route Cable: Carefully route the rear camera cable along the vehicle's headliner and pillars to the desired mounting location (e.g., rear windshield or facing the cabin). Ensure the cable does not interfere with airbags or other vehicle functions.
- Mount Rear Camera: Secure the rear camera in place. It typically uses adhesive or a small bracket.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Automatic Operation
The Fitcamx Dash Cam is designed for automatic operation. It will automatically turn on and begin recording when your vehicle starts and turn off when your vehicle is turned off. There is no need to manually connect to the camera's WiFi or open the app every time you drive for basic recording functionality.
6.2. 4K UHD High Resolution Recording
The dash cam records in stunning 4K UHD (3840x2160P) resolution, providing exceptional clarity for capturing details like license plates and road signs. The advanced Novatek chip and f/1.6 large aperture lens, combined with a CMOS sensor, enhance image performance in all conditions.

6.3. Superior Night Vision
Equipped with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, the dash cam delivers clear video even in low-light conditions. This ensures that critical details are visible at night, improving overall recording quality and reliability.

Figure 10: Night vision performance.
6.4. Loop Recording & G-Sensor
The dash cam features seamless loop recording, which automatically overwrites the oldest footage with new content when the memory card is full. The built-in G-Sensor detects sudden collisions or impacts, automatically saving and locking the relevant footage to prevent it from being overwritten. This ensures critical incident evidence is preserved.

6.5. WiFi and APP Control
Connect your smartphone to the dash cam via WiFi using the FITCAMX app (available for Apple iOS and Android). The app allows you to:
- View live footage.
- Playback recorded videos.
- Download videos and photos to your phone.
- Adjust camera settings.
The app supports multiple languages and offers fast playback without the need for an account or phone number binding.
7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Memory Card: Regularly format the memory card through the FITCAMX app to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption. It is recommended to use Class 10 SanDisk/KIOXIA/Samsung memory cards of 32GB or 64GB capacity (up to 256GB supported).
- Firmware Updates: Check the official FITCAMX website or app periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and bug fixes.
- Temperature: Avoid exposing the dash cam to extreme temperatures outside its operating range (-20°C to 85°C) for extended periods.
8. Troubleshooting (Q&A)
Problem 1: Apple iPhone connection failed
Solution:
- First, turn off the Cellular Data in your phone settings, and then connect to the dash cam's WiFi.
- If your phone is connected to the car's CarPlay, you need to turn off Bluetooth, and then connect to the camera's WiFi.
- Check whether the album and network permissions for the FITCAMX App have been granted. (Album permission is only used to save videos and pictures recorded by the camera into the phone album).
Problem 2: Android phone connection failure
Solution:
- After connecting to the camera's WiFi, your phone may prompt that you can't access the Internet. Please click "Keep WLAN Connection".
- Close Mobile Data first and then connect to WiFi.
Problem 3: App cannot save settings (default settings are restored after reboot)
Solution: After setting the App, please press and hold the power button of the camera to turn off the camera, then press the power button briefly to turn on the camera. This saves the new settings.
Problem 4: APP video file is empty, no video is loaded.
Solution:
- Please open the App settings to format the memory card and then record the video.
- If the App album still has no video, please insert the memory card into a computer, check whether the memory card is damaged or not compatible with the camera. If so, you need to replace the memory card.
- It is recommended to use Class10 specification SanDisk/KIOXIA/Samsung memory cards of 32GB or 64GB capacity. (Maximum size supported is 256GB).
Problem 5: Why doesn't my computer play the videos? Or why is the playback video not smooth?
Solution:
- We recommend the use of PotPlayer and KMplayer players for smooth playback.
- If the computer configuration is too low, it may cause the playback to not be smooth, especially for 4K resolution videos.
Problem 6: Why can't you connect 2 phones at the same time?
Solution: The dash cam's WiFi only supports connecting one phone at a time. If another phone needs to be connected, you must first disconnect the WiFi of the first phone.
Problem 7: Why is the timestamp of the video wrong, or there is no recorded video during some time periods, or there is video when the phone is connected, but no video when the phone is not connected?
Solution: Please check if the timestamp error is caused by a complete power failure of the camera. After car repair, maintenance or battery replacement, you need to reconnect the camera's WiFi with your phone to synchronize the camera's time with your phone's time. Please regularly check that the camera is working properly.
Problem 8: What should I do if I forget the WiFi name or password?
Solution: Press and hold the camera key for 20 seconds, or use a paperclip to press the reset button. This will restore factory settings, including the default WiFi credentials.
Problem 9: Do I need to connect the camera WiFi and open the App every time I drive?
Solution: No need. The camera is automatically turned on and off with your car's ignition. You only need to connect to the app for viewing, downloading, or changing settings.
Problem 10: What should I do if I can't find the WiFi?
Solution:
- First, remove the memory card and then search for WiFi, as memory card failure can cause the camera to have no WiFi.
- Press and hold the camera button for 20 seconds, or use a paper clip to press the reset button to restore factory settings.
- Check whether the camera's light is always on. If there is no light, it means there is no power supply, and thus no WiFi signal.
9. User Tips
- Model Confirmation: Always confirm your specific vehicle model and year, and provide a photo of your rearview mirror cover to ensure you receive the correct dash cam variant (Model A/B/6111/1118).
- Memory Card: For optimal performance, use high-quality Class 10 memory cards from reputable brands like SanDisk, KIOXIA, or Samsung. Regularly format the card to prevent issues.
- Power Cable: The default power cable is plug-and-play for the rearview mirror. If your vehicle requires a fuse box or OBD cable, ensure you request the correct one before installation.
- App Usage: While the camera records automatically, connecting to the app periodically is useful for checking footage, adjusting settings, and ensuring the camera's time is synchronized, especially after vehicle maintenance or battery changes.
