5. Installation and Setup
Follow these steps to correctly install and set up your CPF101-E router:
- Unpacking Inspection: After opening the package, verify that the product is complete and undamaged according to the package contents list.
- Insert SIM Card: Locate the SIM card slot on the back of the router. Insert your Micro SIM card correctly in the direction indicated on the device. Ensure it clicks into place. (Note: Nano SIM cards are not supported directly, use an adapter if necessary).
- Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC port on the router and then plug it into a power outlet.
- Power On: The device will automatically power on. Wait for the indicator lights to stabilize, indicating it is ready for use.
- Connect to Network:
- Via WiFi: On your mobile device or computer, search for the WiFi network named 'LTE-WiFi_XXXX' (where XXXX is a unique identifier). Connect to this network using the default password found on the nameplate of the router.
- Via Wired Connection: Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN ports (LAN1 or LAN2) on the router to your computer or other network device.

Normal Operation:
- Internet Access: The router provides internet access via WiFi or its Ethernet ports. Ensure your SIM card has an active data plan.

- Working Modes: The router can operate in '4G to WiFi' mode, broadcasting a wireless signal, or '4G to wired mode', providing internet through its LAN ports.

- No Internet Connection:
- Ensure the SIM card is correctly inserted and has an active data plan.

- Restart the router by unplugging it from the power source, waiting 10 seconds, and plugging it back in.
- Verify that your device is connected to the correct WiFi network (LTE-WiFi_XXXX) and using the correct password.

- Weak WiFi Signal:
- Ensure the router is placed in a central location, away from obstructions and other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- The router has built-in high gain antennas for strong signal stability.
- Router Not Responding: If the router becomes unresponsive, perform a hard reset by pressing and holding the reset button (usually a small pinhole on the back) for about 10 seconds until the lights flash. This will restore factory settings.
