2. Safety Information

Please read and understand all safety precautions before using your fishing reel. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury or damage to the product.

  • Casting Safety: Always ensure the bail is in the correct position before casting. Incorrect operation can lead to line breakage, unexpected lure trajectory, and potential injury to yourself or others.
  • Anti-Reverse Knob: When the anti-reverse knob is set to "ON", the handle should only move forward. If it is set to "OFF", the handle can move backward rapidly, which may cause injury to your hand.
  • Moving Parts: Do not touch the fishing line when it rapidly exits the spool, as it may cut your finger. Avoid touching rotating parts like the handle, rotating disc, and spool during operation.
  • Damaged Reel: If the reel has peeling on gold-plated or painted surfaces, or sharp edges appear after impact, do not use it as it may cause injury.
  • Hooked Lines: If your hooks become accidentally snagged underwater, do not force the fishing rod and reel. Instead, wrap the fishing line with a towel or cloth and slowly pull the hooks out. Forcing it can damage the reel. Do not cut the fishing line with scissors as it can harm the environment.
  • Dropping the Reel: Be careful not to drop the fishing reel. If it falls onto hard surfaces like asphalt or cement, especially during installation on a rod, the reel leg may break.
  • Water and Sand Exposure: Do not place the fishing reel directly in sand or submerge it in water. Sand or water entering the reel can cause malfunctions.
  • Children: Keep the fishing reel out of reach of children to prevent unexpected accidents.
  • Drag System: Ensure the drag system is correctly set before casting. Double-check that the drag knob works properly. An improperly set drag can cause injury if an accident occurs.
  • Intended Use: Use the fishing reel only for its intended purpose of fishing.
  • Lubrication: Be aware that lubricating oil is applied to rotating parts. Handle with care to avoid staining clothing.
  • Storage: When storing or moving the reel, pay particular attention not to throw it arbitrarily. Store it separately from other hard items to prevent scratches or breakage.

  2. Pull the handle out and plug it into the opposite side.
  3. Screw on the handle cap.

4.2. Spool Installation and Unloading

Unloading Method: Turn the drag knob counterclockwise until the spool automatically comes off.

Installation Method: Put the spool on the rotor seat and rotate it left and right until it is fixed well. Turn and screw the drag knob clockwise until tight.

4.3. Line Winding

  1. Install the fishing reel onto your fishing rod.
  2. Adjust the drag knob to a suitable setting.
  3. Connect the fishing line directly to the spool through the rod guides. The junction should be fixed by tape or similar means.
  4. Erect the spool with the line wound on it, and start reeling the line while maintaining tension.
  5. Make a mark at every 1/3 point of the full line capacity. For example, if the line capacity is 150 meters, mark at 50 meters, 100 meters, and 150 meters.

4.4. Reel Installation on Rod

Slide the reel foot into the reel seat on your fishing rod and tighten the reel seat nut securely.

4.5. Adjustment of Line Shape on Spool

The reel allows for adjustment of the line shape on the spool to optimize casting performance. This is typically done using washers under the spool.

  • If the line is winding with a concave shape (more line on edges than center), add a washer.
  • If the line is winding with a convex shape (more line in center than edges), remove a washer.
  • Aim for a flat, even line lay for normal use.
