4.1. Host Installation
- Mounting the Main Unit: Fix the main unit securely to the motorcycle handlebars using the provided mount bracket. If the handlebars have a narrow position or the diameter does not match, consider purchasing additional fixing accessories to ensure stability.
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the positive and negative terminals of the motorcycle's power supply. If your motorcycle has an ACC line, connect the power cord to the ACC line of the key. Ensure all wire connection points are in a dry and clean environment. After installation, hide the wires within the decorative panel or secure them with cable ties to prevent accidental touching.
- GPS Antenna (Optional): If you have the GPS version, place the GPS antenna in an area without metal coverage to ensure optimal signal reception.
4.2. Power Installation Guidelines & Precautions
Always disconnect power and protect your vehicle before disassembling or installing parts to prevent damage.
- Power Cord Connection: Avoid plugging the product's power cord directly into a motorcycle or electric car battery to prevent a short circuit that could leave the product without power.
- Voltage Verification: When connecting the power supply, ensure the engine is running or in the ACC position. Verify the voltage is 12V with a multimeter. There should be no voltage when the engine is off or the power is off.
- Pre-installation Check: Before installing and plugging in the power cord, use a multimeter to check the voltage. Ensure it aligns with the power supply connection principle to guarantee the product can be turned on and used.
- Locating Fuse Box: Locate the motorcycle's power fuse box, typically near the front end or the original battery. For electric vehicles, refer to Figure 3 in the original manual for power adapter details.
