3. Setup and Assembly
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Main Unit Assembly:
- Attach the Steam Handle to the main body of the cleaner. Ensure it clicks securely into place.
- Insert the Water Tank and Sewage Tank into their respective slots on the main unit.
- Filling the Water Tank:
- Remove the Water Tank Cover.
- Fill the water tank with clean tap water. For optimal performance and to prevent mineral buildup, distilled or demineralized water is recommended.
- Optionally, add a small amount of the Special Cleaning Fluid to the water tank as per instructions on the fluid bottle.
- Securely replace the Water Tank Cover and ensure the Water Tank Cover Seal Ring is properly seated to prevent leaks.
- Attaching Accessories:
- Select the desired cleaning attachment (e.g., Standard Steam Brush, Wide Brush, Mop Head).
- Align the attachment with the connection point on the Steam Handle or Mop Connecting Rod (if using the mop function).
- Push firmly until it locks into place. For the Mop Head, attach it to the Mop Connecting Rod first, then attach the rod to the main unit.
- For the Wide Brush, ensure the Wide Brush Transparent Window is correctly installed.
4. Operating Instructions
The Deerma BY700 offers various cleaning modes and attachments for different surfaces.
4.1 General Operation
- Ensure the water tank is filled and the desired attachment is securely installed.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Press the power button to turn on the device. Allow a few moments for the steam to generate (if using steam functions).
- Begin cleaning the desired surface.
- After use, turn off the device and unplug it.
4.2 Using Specific Attachments

- Mop Head with Mop Cloth: For hard floors. Attach the Mop Connecting Rod and Mop Head. Ensure the Mop Cloth is attached to the Mop Head. Use steam to clean and sanitize floors.
- High-Pressure Nozzle: For targeted cleaning of stubborn dirt in crevices or hard-to-reach areas. Use with caution due to concentrated steam.
- Shoe Brush / Comb Brush: For specialized cleaning tasks, such as scrubbing shoes or other items that require a more abrasive action.
5. Maintenance
- Emptying the Sewage Tank: After each use, or when the sewage tank is full, remove the Sewage Tank Suction Cover and empty the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly.
- Cleaning the Filter: Regularly check and clean the Sewage Tank Filter Cotton to maintain optimal suction and prevent blockages. Rinse with water and allow to air dry completely before reinserting.
- Cleaning Attachments:
- Remove all attachments from the main unit.
- Rinse brushes and nozzles under running water. For stubborn dirt, use a mild detergent.
- The Mop Cloth can be machine washed.
- Allow all parts to air dry completely before storing.
- Descaling (if applicable): If you notice reduced steam output or mineral buildup, descaling may be necessary. Consult the manufacturer's website or support for specific descaling instructions.
- Storage: Store the Deerma BY700 and its accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children. Use the Brush Head Bracket to organize brushes.
