1. Introduction

The SP530E and SP630E are versatile IoT LED controllers designed for managing various types of LED lighting. Both models support RF remote control for convenient operation.

  • SP530E: Features a dual-mode (2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth LE5.0) chip, allowing for control via Bluetooth, WiFi, local network, or cloud connection through a dedicated App. It also supports third-party voice control systems like Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
  • SP630E: Utilizes a single-mode (Bluetooth LE5.0) chip, enabling Bluetooth connection via the App.

These controllers offer extensive potential for customizing lighting and ambiance, providing an intelligent, convenient, and personalized user experience.

2. Key Features

  • Multiple Control Methods: Supports App control (iOS/Android), 2.4G RF remote control, and 2.4G touch 86-type control panel. SP530E additionally supports smart speaker voice command control (e.g., Amazon Alexa, Google Home).

4. Setup Guide

4.1. Unboxing and Inspection

Carefully unbox your LED controller and accessories. Inspect all components for any signs of damage. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer support.

4.2. Wiring the LED Controller

Different types of LED strips correspond to specific output ports on the controller. Ensure the ports match your selected LED type. Refer to the wiring diagrams and tables below for correct connections.

4.3. App Installation

The controller supports App control for both iOS and Android devices. For Apple devices, iOS 10.0 or higher is required. For Android devices, Android 4.4 or higher is required.

  1. Search for "BanlanX" in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  2. Alternatively, scan the QR code provided on the product packaging or in the manual to download and install the App.

4.4. Device Pairing

Once the App is installed:

  1. Open the "BanlanX" App.
  2. Click the "+" icon in the top right corner of the home page to add a new device.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect your controller. You may need to set the LED type and calibrate the color order during this process. These settings can also be adjusted later in the App's settings page.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. App Control

The "BanlanX" App provides comprehensive control over your LED lighting. After pairing your device, you can access various control pages:

  • Dynamic: Explore a range of pre-set dynamic lighting effects like Rainbow, Comet, Red Wave, Purple Breath, and Gradient.
  • Static: Select a solid color from a color wheel or choose from saved colors.
  • Music: Engage music-reactive lighting modes. You can select different strip music modes or matrix music modes.
  • DIY: Create and customize your own lighting effects by setting colors, brightness, and speed.

To access settings, click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the App. Here you can:

  • Rename the device.
  • Modify the LED type.
  • Calibrate the color order.
  • Set timers for automatic on/off.
  • Configure on/off effects.
  • Adjust music effect layouts (Strip or Matrix, with matrix size options).

5.2. Remote Control (2.4G Touch Remote / Panel)

The controller is compatible with 2.4G touch remotes (RB1, RB2, RB3, RB4) and 86-type touch panels (RC1, RC2, RC3, RC4). These remotes and panels can be used for zone control (up to 4 zones) or unified control (ALL).

5.3. Voice Control (SP530E Only)

The SP530E model supports integration with popular voice control systems such as Amazon Alexa and Google Home. This allows you to control your LED lights using simple voice commands.

To enable voice control, link your "BanlanX" account with your Amazon Alexa or Google Home app and follow their respective setup instructions.

5.4. Music Lighting Effects

Experience dynamic lighting synchronized with your music. The controller offers:

  • Multi-segment LED Strip Music Effects: Configure different music effects on various segments of the same LED strip, each with unique pixel counts and tailored to low, mid, or high audio frequencies.
  • Matrix LED Music Spectrum Effects: Customize the size and wiring layout of your LED matrix, setting parameters for falling dots and sound columns (color palette, saturation, direction) for unique visual displays.

5.5. Timer Function

Set schedules for your lights to turn on or off automatically. This is ideal for daily routines, such as waking up or going to sleep.

5.6. Group Setting & Control

Manage multiple controllers simultaneously by grouping them. This allows you to control lights in different areas or rooms with a single command.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the controller. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol sprays.
  • Environment: Keep the device in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.
  • Power: Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance or wiring changes.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Controller Not Responding: Check all power connections to ensure they are secure. Verify that the input voltage is within the specified DC 5-24V range.
  • App Connection Issues: For SP530E, ensure both WiFi and Bluetooth are enabled on your smartphone and the controller. For SP630E, ensure Bluetooth is enabled. Try restarting the App and the controller.
  • Remote Control Not Working: Ensure the remote is properly bound to the controller (long press ON key within 20s of power-on). Check the remote's battery.
  • Incorrect Colors/Effects: Verify that the correct LED type is selected in the App settings. Perform color order calibration if colors appear incorrect.
  • LED Strip Not Lighting Up: Double-check the wiring connections between the controller and the LED strip, ensuring polarity is correct. Confirm the LED strip itself is functional.

8. User Tips

  • Always ensure all wiring is correctly connected and secured before applying power to prevent damage to the controller or LED strips.
  • When setting up complex music effects or matrix layouts, experiment with different parameters in the App to achieve your desired visual outcome.
  • For optimal voice control performance (SP530E), ensure your controller is within range of your smart speaker and has a stable WiFi connection.
