4. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your hair clipper.
- Cleaning the Cutter Head: After each use, remove the cutter head. Use the provided small brush to sweep away any hair clippings along the direction of the blade. You can then clean the cutter head with water. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching or storing to prevent rust.
- Lubrication: Once the cutter head is completely dry, apply a few drops of lubricating oil onto the blades. This helps maintain blade sharpness and smooth operation.
- Cleaning the Motor Head: Use the small brush to clean any broken hair from the motor head of the main unit. Do not flush the motor head with water to prevent water from entering the internal components.
- External Cleaning: Do not use acidic substances to clean the clipper's body. It is best to wipe the fuselage with a neutral lotion or a damp cloth.
- Blade Replacement: The cutter head needs to be replaced regularly to maintain cutting performance. Refer to the manufacturer's guidelines for replacement parts.
- Battery Care: To maintain battery life, ensure the clipper is fully charged before long-term storage. For normal use, periodically allow the battery to fully discharge and then recharge it. If not used for an extended period, charge it every few months.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your WEEME 806 hair clipper, consider the following:
- Clipper not turning on: Ensure the battery is fully charged. Check the charging reminder on the LED display.
- Poor cutting performance: Clean the blades thoroughly, lubricate them, and ensure no hair is obstructing the cutting mechanism. If performance does not improve, the blades may need replacement.
- Battery not holding charge: Ensure you are following the recommended charging procedures, especially the initial 12-hour charge. For long-term storage, ensure periodic charging.
- Unusual noise or vibration: Turn off the clipper immediately. Check for any foreign objects or damage to the blades or motor. If the issue persists, discontinue use.
