Sim Racing Rig Bass Shaker Vibration Isolator Set User Manual

Model: SKU00626-3-60H

Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your 4040er Serie Aluminiumprofil Sim Racing Rig Bass Shaker Vibration Isolator Set. These tactile vibration isolators are designed to enhance your sim racing experience by effectively isolating bass shaker vibrations from your floor, directing them into your racing rig and seat.

The set is compatible with various sim racing setups, including those utilizing Buttkickers, Trueforce, and Simagic HPR systems, and is specifically designed for 4040 series aluminum profiles.

Package Contents

Your package should contain the following items:

  • 4 x Tactile Vibration Isolators (each consisting of a base, spring, and top mounting plate with T-nut)
Four tactile vibration isolators, labeled 4pcs/set

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install the vibration isolators on your sim racing rig:

  1. Prepare Your Rig: Ensure your sim racing rig is stable and positioned in its desired location.
  2. Identify Mounting Points: Locate suitable mounting points on the underside of your 4040 series aluminum profile rig where the bass shakers are installed or where vibration isolation is desired. Typically, these are the corners or main support points of the rig.
  3. Position Isolators: Place one vibration isolator under each chosen mounting point. The base of the isolator should rest on the floor, and the top mounting plate should align with the aluminum profile.
  4. Secure to Aluminum Profile: The top mounting plate of each isolator includes a T-nut. Slide the T-nut into the channel of your 4040 series aluminum profile. Use an appropriate bolt (not included, typically M6 or M8 depending on your profile) to secure the isolator to the profile. Tighten securely but do not overtighten.
  5. Distribute Weight Evenly: Ensure the weight of your rig and any attached equipment (like bass shakers) is distributed as evenly as possible across all four isolators.
  6. Test Stability: Gently rock your rig to confirm stability. The isolators are designed to allow vertical movement for vibration transfer while maintaining horizontal stability.

Operation

The vibration isolators are passive components designed to work in conjunction with your bass shakers. Once installed, they function automatically:

  • Enhanced Tactile Feedback: By decoupling your sim rig from the floor, the isolators prevent vibrations from dissipating into the ground. This concentrates the bass shaker's output into your rig and seat, providing a more intense and localized tactile experience.
  • Reduced Noise Transfer: The isolation helps to reduce the transfer of low-frequency vibrations and noise to adjacent rooms or floors, making your sim racing setup more neighbor-friendly.

Maintenance

These vibration isolators require minimal maintenance:

  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check the isolators for any signs of wear, damage, or loosening of the mounting bolts.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the isolators with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Spring Condition: Ensure the springs are free from rust or deformation. While designed for durability, extreme conditions or impacts could affect their performance.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Rig feels unstable after installation.

Solution:

  • Ensure all isolators are securely fastened to the aluminum profile.
  • Verify that the rig's weight is evenly distributed. Uneven loading can cause instability.
  • Check that the floor surface is level.
Issue: Vibrations are still transferring to the floor significantly.

Solution:

  • Confirm that the isolators are the only contact points between your rig and the floor. Remove any other direct contact.
  • Ensure the bass shakers are properly mounted to the rig and not directly touching the floor or other non-isolated structures.
  • Consider adding additional isolators if your rig is exceptionally heavy or large, or if the existing ones are compressed too much.

User Tips

  • Load Rating: While specific load ratings are not provided, it is generally recommended to ensure the total weight of your rig and equipment is distributed across the isolators without causing excessive compression of the springs. If the springs appear fully compressed, consider reducing the load or adding more isolators.
  • Placement: Experiment with the placement of the isolators to find the optimal balance between stability and vibration isolation for your specific rig and floor type.
