  • Connections: Periodically check all wiring connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion. Loose connections can lead to intermittent operation or damage.
  • Storage: If storing the controller for an extended period, disconnect it from power and store it in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DOMRAEM WLED Digital Music Controller, refer to the following troubleshooting tips:

7.1 LEDs Not Responding After Reset/Update

Important: After any reset or OTA update, you MUST configure GPIO12, then briefly press Reset or power cycle the controller. Refer to the manual for detailed configuration.

  • Check GPIO12 Configuration: Ensure GPIO12 is correctly configured in the WLED app settings. If abnormal, reconfigure and reboot the controller.
  • Inspect Power Supply: If GPIO12 configuration is normal, check the power supply circuit for any issues. Ensure the power supply is providing the correct voltage and sufficient current for your LED strips.

7.2 Connectivity Issues (WiFi)

  • Verify WiFi Network: Ensure your phone and the WLED controller are connected to the same 2.4GHz WiFi network. The controller does not support 5GHz networks.
  • Check Password: Double-check that the WiFi password entered during setup is correct.
  • Restart Router/Controller: Try restarting your WiFi router and the WLED controller.
  • Reset to Factory Settings: If all else fails, perform a factory reset by long-pressing the 'Opt' button for more than 10 seconds. Then, repeat the initial app configuration steps.

7.3 Microphone Not Responding

  • Initial Configuration: After resetting the device, the microphone parameters (I2S SD pin, WS pin, SCK pin) must be configured in the WLED app settings. Refer to section 5.2.
  • Restart Device: After configuring microphone parameters, restart the controller for changes to take effect.

8. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, ensure your power supply is adequately rated for the length and density of your LED strips.
  • Experiment with different effects and segments in the WLED app to discover unique lighting combinations.
  • Regularly check for WLED firmware updates to access new features and improvements.

10. Safety Information

  • Always ensure the input voltage (DC 5-24V) matches the requirements of your LED strips and power supply. Exceeding the maximum voltage or current can damage the controller and LED strips.
  • When using the USB-C input, ensure the power supply does not exceed 5V/5A.
  • Ensure all wiring is correctly connected with proper polarity (VCC, Data, GND) to prevent damage.
  • Do not expose the controller to water, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the device away from children.
  • Do not attempt to open or modify the controller, as this will void the warranty and may pose a safety risk.
