4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Mounting the Q28 Host
- Choose a suitable location on the side of your helmet for the Q28 host.
- Attach the Back Clip Base to the helmet using the provided Host Velcro. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Slide the Q28 Host unit onto the Back Clip Base until it clicks into place. The split mounting design allows for easy attachment and removal.

4.2 Connecting the Headset
- Insert the TYPE-C Interface Hard Tube Mark Headset connector into the Speaker/Marker Connector (3) on the Q28 Host.
- Position the speakers inside your helmet, aligning them with your ears. Use the Horn Velcro to secure them.
- Attach the microphone to a suitable position inside the helmet near your mouth using the Mic Stick Velcro. The hard tube microphone is designed for clear audio in various helmet types.
4.3 Inserting the TF Card
- Locate the Recorder Memory Card Slot (6) on the Q28 Host.
- Gently insert the provided 32GB High Speed Card (or another compatible TF card up to 256GB) into the slot until it clicks. Ensure the card is inserted in the correct orientation.
5. Operation
5.1 Power On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Multi-function Button (1) until the Bluetooth indicator (blue) lights up.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Multi-function Button (1) until the indicators turn off.
5.2 Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the Q28 is powered on. The Bluetooth indicator (blue) will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your mobile phone, go to Bluetooth settings and search for available devices.
- Select "Q28" from the list to pair. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator will stop flashing and remain solid blue.
5.3 Hands-Free Calling
- Automatic Answer: Incoming calls are automatically answered after synchronizing with your mobile phone's ringtone. No manual intervention is needed.
- Hang Up: Briefly press the Multi-function Button (1) to end a call.
- Voice Assistant: Press the Voice Assistant Key (2) to activate your phone's voice assistant (e.g., Siri, Google Assistant).

5.4 Music Playback
- Play/Pause: Briefly press the Multi-function Button (1).
- Volume Up: Press the Volume + / Next Song Button (7).
- Volume Down: Press the Volume - / Previous Song Button (8).
- Next Song: Press and hold the Volume + / Next Song Button (7).
- Previous Song: Press and hold the Volume - / Previous Song Button (8).
5.5 Video Recording and Photography
- Start/Stop Recording: Press the Recorder On/Off Button (10). The Logger indicator light (blue) (11) will indicate recording status.
- Take Photo: Briefly press the Photo / WiFi On or Off Button (9).
- WiFi On/Off: Press and hold the Photo / WiFi On or Off Button (9). The WiFi on light (green) (11) will indicate WiFi status.

5.6 Adjusting Shooting Angle
The Q28 features 360° free adjustment of its body, allowing for both horizontal (16:9 video ratio) and vertical (9:16 video ratio) shooting to capture your riding experience from various perspectives.

5.7 Charging
Connect the provided TYPE-C Charging Cable to the Charging Port (4) on the Q28 Host and a suitable USB power source. The Charging indicator (red) (1) will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
