8. Troubleshooting
- No Power: Ensure the PoE adapter is correctly plugged into a power socket and the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the CPE's WAN port. Check the power indicator light on the CPE.
- No Network Connection: Verify all Ethernet cable connections. Ensure the PoE adapter's LAN port is connected to your network (e.g., router or PC). Check the WAN/LAN indicator lights on the CPE.
- Poor Signal Strength:
- Ensure there are no physical obstructions (trees, walls, buildings, etc.) between the transmitter and receiver devices, as these can significantly affect signal strength.
- Use the Smart Signal Indicator LEDs on the CPE to adjust the angle and alignment of the equipment for optimal signal reception.
- Pairing Issues:
- During initial pairing, ensure the distance between the AP and STA devices does not exceed 10 meters.
- The auto-mate interface on the base station disables after 30 minutes. Complete the pairing process within this timeframe.
- Cannot Access Web Interface: Ensure your PC is directly connected to the PoE adapter's LAN port (which is connected to the CPE) and your PC's IP address is in the same subnet as the CPE (e.g., if CPE is 192.168.10.1, set PC to 192.168.10.x). Try resetting the device to factory settings if the default IP is not working.
- Device Malfunction: If the device is unresponsive or behaving erratically, try performing a factory reset using the Reset button.
9. User Tips
- Optimal Pairing: For the most reliable initial setup, place the AP and STA devices within 10 meters of each other during the first pairing. This ensures a strong connection before deploying them for long-distance use.
- Clear Line of Sight: Always aim for a clear line of sight between the transmitting and receiving units. Any physical obstructions like trees, walls, or buildings will degrade signal strength and transmission distance.
- Signal Strength Monitoring: Utilize the Smart Signal Indicator LEDs on the device to fine-tune the alignment of your CPEs. More lit LEDs indicate a stronger signal, helping you achieve the best possible performance.
- Software Access: For real-time monitoring and advanced settings, remember that the device's software interface can be accessed from both mobile phones and computers.
